I heard her interview on NPR this morning.
NO WAY would I ever vote for that female!
But then, there is no way I would ever live in New York, so I can't vote for her anyway.

Over half of the US budget, nearly 600 billion, goes to military spending.

In general, a strong military is necessary to protect our county but at the same time I can not help but believe there is a lot of waste and redundancy.

Cutting military spending back to maybe 500 billion and having 100 billion to help balance the budget pay Medicare for at least a couple of years or social security for 4 or 5 years.

Government overhead alone is 63 billion a year and to hear tell, millions are spent on frivolous golf outings and other such nonsense.

Me and every other American is expected to live on a balanced budget. I can't just spend 10 or 20% more year after year and expect someone else to pick up the bill. It does not work that way. I can not tell my employer he has to pay me more to make up for my spending like the government can raise my taxes to cover its spending.

Americans have to also understand that the government, federal or state, can not provide them with everything. There should be less government spending and more privatization in some sectors. In exchange the federal government has to cut it waste and spending by prioritizing and making it clear what it can provide and what it can not.

While I did argue that you can't use this victory to mean big things nationwide, I do agree that there is an overall sentiment around the country of people being tired of established politicians across both parties. Really ordinary people feel like no one is looking out for them anymore... so anyone who comes along and seems to sincerely want to fight for people just to be able to live a decent life while working that 9-5 (or 40 hours a week on your shift LOL) is going to get a lot of votes.

If all it took to win was the votes of "the left" then Bernie would have actually won in reality, not in people's imaginations.

But that muddy middle? Yeah, they wouldn't have been thrilled with things like Bernie extolling the virtues of Castro and saying breadlines were good, and being shown up for the hypocrite he is by getting his wife appointed to a commission to send Vermont's nuclear waste to a small town filled with Latino people in Texas. And there's so much more, but I'm not going to bother. The reality remains that Hillary did not go negative on him and the GOP would have.

What country's Socialist system is this candidate's inspiration?

Btw, that ''great former community organizer'' was chosen over the much more qualified female Dem in 2008. Remember Hillary Clinton sat there hearing comments from fellow Dems about her shrillness, fat a*s, likeability, and of course, the deault, being a ''racist'', etc. You know, all the stereotypes coming from the party for women...lol.

Your great community organizer created Trump.

While people may be expected to live on a balanced budget, they don't; and, yes, many expect someone else to pick up the tab. This Socialist candidate will make sure both the former and latter happen. Good luck NY.

Right wing Wall Street democrats are very upset about this.

It wasn't about people wanting free stuff, it was about kicking Crowley to the curb for taking them for granted.
Why shouldnt people want tax funded stuff? Whats so great about a government that gives free stuff to the military industrial complex, Wall Street and the ruling donor class, while ordinary salt of the earth Americans are kicked to the curb? I dont see people get furious at freeways, it even has free stuff in its name, even though everyone understands its funded by taxes. Why not Medicare for all?

This is a signifcant loss for Wall Street and the ruling class and their media and supporters will do all they can to downplay this event.

Hillary couldn't go negative on him because what he stood for was what she pretended to stand for.
