The accurate topic of this thread begs to differ with you as to "how out of touch" Beto ORourke is with Texas.
Last I looked there was only a 4 point difference.

Right now the spread is around 6.5 points and Beto is raking in so much out of state cash that it's hard to even count. Democrats are pouring everything they have into this race and he's still down by 6 points. Texans don't want some fake douche-bag with a record as their representative.

My morning paper shows Cruz got more out of state money than Beto.

The longer this thread supporting a Democratic challenger to Cruz stays up, the more the out-of-state posters will come in and smear Beto
They do that to all threads that oppose the GOP narrative
Just ignore them and their false reports

Maybe Beto is getting money from out of state
But it isn't from SuperPACs like Cruz
I am Texan and gave money to Conor Lamb's special election race
He was a quality candidate trying to run a groundswell campaign w/o "big" money
I appreciate that in ANY election because SuperPACs have push the people out of politics and foisted special interests as the oligarchs running government
Check how the GOP leadership in the Senate has swung against Sessions this close to the election when a year ago Trump's rants were criticized and Sessions independence as AG was supported by GOP leadership--
Nothing has changed in that time except we are close to the midterms and they are afraid of losing their jobs
And their money...

Your description of Beto as a "fake douche---bag" is laughable
It fits Cruz with his plastic self and kowtowing to Trump after being dissed larger than life by Trump and David Pecker-
The National Enquirer's cover pre RNC was Cruz's father eating with Lee Harvey Oswald and the headline accusing him of being a party to Kennedy's assassination...
Knowing what we know now about the collusion between Pecker and Trump--
That was a quid pro quo campaign contribution from AMI/Pecker to Trump's campaign
I hope they both get investigated for that form of campaign fraud
Too bad Cruz is so plastic he has no sense of outrage that lasted longer than his moment at the convention

They prefer the real douche-bag they already have?

If someone made a do-it-yourself douche-bag kit, the finished product would probably strongly resemble Ted Cruz.

Beto is a long shot.

But maybe Texas is ready to elect a Texan. We've had enough of Cuban carpetbaggers.

Carry on.

Beto has visited every single county in Texas, is now revistiing, and holding townhall Q&As throughout the state. Cruz is doing Hillary's cocoon strategy with limited and controlled engagements.
