Ted advocated for the Senate to work through August (another ) recess, so that's where he's been while Beto scampers around Texas.

My problem with Cruz is that he has no backbone. Trump attacked his wife and he said he would never support someone like that. Yet, here he is supporting Trump. Country comes first not party. If you don't stand up and defend your wife then how can anyone expect him to stand up and do right by our country. You just can't.

You made a very good point with the last 2 sentences.

Huh.

https://www.politifact.com/texas/sta...nst-tax-relie/

When we asked O’Rourke’s campaign about his "no" vote, spokesman Chris Evans replied by email that O’Rourke, who otherwise voted for direct hurricane relief, voted against the measure singled out by Cruz "because it dramatically shortchanged Harvey victims by providing significantly smaller tax breaks than those given after Hurricane Sandy," which slammed the East Coast in 2012.

Hold that comparison: The American Institute of CPAs put us in touch with a Louisiana expert, CPA Jerry Schreiber, who told us by phone that Congress didn’t provide tax breaks to victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Another congressional roll-call vote shows that earlier, on Sept. 25, 2017, O’Rourke joined a sufficient number of House members to keep the act from being immediately considered and passed by the House.

When time permits, I'll check out the time and votes Cruz missed while he was running for POTUS.

No problem. Unfortunately, they all cease to do what they were hired to do when they're running for office. I hate that. They spend 2 years (?) trying to get elected for whatever and IMO, their pay should be reduced during that time.

Wow, that's seriously impressive. What kind of work are we talking about, taking turns reading Dr. Seuss?

meanwhile, Beto signs everywhere in Plano. It is still a long shot, but we will see.

Check Ted's schedule, he's been scampering around red Texas through August and not been holed up in Washington.

Ted was right about Obamacare. God forbid he reads Dr. Seuss to his girls. Next?
