Didn't stop Trump. To be fair, neither was Clinton. It makes me wonder if we just find something more likable... how about Dog/Cat 2020? That will win for sure.

Trump is actually very likable, he comes across pretty well in public speaking. He does extremely well speaking to his target audience & he identifies with them. You can tell he believes in a lot of things he says like build the wall & fear of darker skin toned people....

Cruz sticks to the main GOP talking points but you can tell he doesn't believe in them, he's a very smart & shrewd person. Voters have had 6 years of seeing him in action & realize he is acting a part...

People get the representation they deserve. All these awful candidates says something about the priorities, motivations and moral leanings, or lack thereof, of their constituents.

It's not going to happen. Luckily, you still get your avocados and oranges and they're not taking your job (unless you are an unemployed migrant produce-picker). They also pay sales tax that goes into programs you enjoy.

Due to the crackdown on illegal immigration, farmers are being forced to do what they should have done years ago, turn to automation.

However, due to the tariffs, farmers are having financial difficulty. They are putting off purchases for tractors and other equipment. It's tough to automate when the tariff war caused crop prices to drop and when your global purchasers halted all orders to to the trade war.

Senate Whip leader, John Cornyn (R - TX) is very worried about Cruz losing to O'Rourke. Republicans are having to divert money designated for other R Senate races to Cruz. This could impact close races in other states because they lost earmarked money to Cruz. TX requires a lot of spending due to the number of markets.

Cornyn...expressing real concern about the reelection chances of Sen. Ted Cruz in Texas."We're not bluffing, this is real, and it is a serious threat"

Texas becoming competitive is a major financial problem for Republicans who are trying to hang onto their Senate majority. .... spending north of $10 million -- has to be diverted to save Cruz, it means that same money has to be diverted

Cruz is having emergency meetings with all the big fund raisers in DC. If I was Beto I would try to get a few videos of him begging for cash to use for my campaign.

What is Teddy Cruz up to in DC? Cozying up to the corporate fatcats...

Cruz already sold his soul to the billionaire Mercers. That's why Cruz crawled up Trump's rear end. The Mercers give money to both Cruz and Trump. Cruz sold out his wife and father for the Mercers.

Who are mega-donors Bob and Rebekah Mercer, and why are they influential

Mercers have emerged as big power brokers in Trump’s Washington. They financially backed Trump’s campaign when many establishment donors steered clear of the brash real estate magnate.
Rebekah Mercer helped persuade Trump to hire ... Kellyanne Conway...and Stephen Bannon.

Several candidates receiving the Mercers’ backing — including Cruz and Trump

And Beto receives funding from Soros, and you can bet big donors as well. Money is the name of the game in politics, unless you're a billionaire like Trump, that doesn't owe alligence (sp?) to any PAC or large donor.

The Trump administration is sending aide to farmers until the tariff issue is settled.

I would think people would be happy automation is replacing illegal alien labor in our country, particularly given the living conditions many endure.
