In the last week or so I've seen a number of Beto stickers in car windows, and zero Cruz stickers.
Maybe that is because many of us no longer fill our cars with bumper stickers?I know we do not see nearly as many on either side anymore. The bumper sticker is no indication as to how an entire community will vote. Most of us have outgrown the bumper sticker game.

Who you vote for has little meaning on who will win and you are wrong about Bush; I don't know what part of Houston you live in or the overall views of some, but Bush is very much liked by the Hispanics. I think you are letting your personal views influence how you view the race.

I'm just taking about on vehicles. Although I don't remember seeing any billboards or fixed signs either (other than the permanent signs for Kevin Brady's office , which obviously are neither campaign signs nor for Beto nor Cruz).

Cruz's problem is that he is hated on both sides of the aisle. A smarmy, ugly on the inside and out, professional politician.

Texas Senate race between Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) is neck and neck, according to a new poll released Wednesday. The 2018 Texas Lyceum Poll showed Cruz leading O'Rourke by a hair — 41-39 percent among likely voters.

O'Rourke reported a staggering $10.4 million fundraising haul in the second quarter of the 2018 cycle.

Cruz, raised about $4.1 million in the second quarter.

I can't wait to pull the lever for BETO!!

To start, the latest polls are not good for the Senator. Quinnipiac now has him up just 6 points, 49% to 43%. Even worse, however, is that 43% of Texans say they don't really know enough about O'Rourke to form a strong opinion, whereas only 7% say that about Cruz. Put another way, O'Rourke's support has much more room to grow than Cruz's. Another poll, from Texas Lyceum, did not attempt to measure how well known the two men are, but did have Cruz with just a two point lead, 36% to 34%, which is a statistical dead heat.

Then there is fundraising, where O'Rourke is currently outpacing the Senator at better than a 2-to-1 clip, pulling in $10.4 million in Q2 (compared to $4.6 million for Cruz).

Cruz is facing two major problems here. The first, which is only partly of his making, is that the GOP and its president are not wildly popular right now, putting any Republican who is up this year at potential risk of getting caught up in a blue wave. The second, which is entirely of his own making, is that Cruz just isn't all that likable or charismatic. That's clearly not fatal; Dick Nixon and LBJ weren't likable or charismatic, and they had fine careers. In a race against a pointy-headed Democratic wonk, say Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), Cruz' intellectual acuity would probably carry the day. But a fellow like O'Rourke, with Bobby Kennedy-like looks and charm, is the Senator's kryptonite. These days, he often attracts standing-room-only crowds, even in very red parts of the state.
I wonder why the Quinnipiac Poll had BetoTheBoyWonder at ...... 47% Don't know about him??
Less than 100 days until the Election --Beto better step up his game

Polls are including 18% of age 65 in their polls ...... Reality is that 65% of voters age 65+ actually vote.

Most amusing results from the 2014 Election ...... it was George P's first campaign for a State wide position -- Land Commissioner. I bet not one in 1,000 people know who the Texas Land Commissioner is or what he does. George won that 2014 Election with 2,827,584 votes (60.68%)

In the same Statewide Election in 2014 - Wendy Davis (the pink tennis shoes, abortion rights QUEEN) was running for Governor - they sent in a massive Campaign Organization from Washington, D.C. to turn Texas BLUE!.

When the dust cleared - the man in the wheelchair beat Wendy - she got 1,835,596 votes (38.9%).

The new Texas Land Commissioner won almost a MILLION more votes that the Darling of the Left in her Pink Tennis Shoes. Think about that -- very few even know what the Texas Land Commissioner does -- BUT they knew who he was. 47% of Texans are clueless about WHO Beto (the new JFK) actually is.
A bet anything that George P doesn't have that % that have never heard of him.
I'm not necessarily a fan of either Cruz or George P (although I think George is probably doing a better job.) Bottom Line -- a Vote for ANY Democrat in 2018 is a Vote against the USA and a Vote for the Socialists and Antifa. That's based only on what they DO.

As for Beto
A few may know he was in a band.
A few may know he was arrested for attempted robbery and for assault.
A few may know about his drinking a drugging
A few may know he supports Impeaching the President
A few may know he supports Open Borders and Abolishing ICE

Most know ZERO about him ....... at the end of the day, that could be a good thing for Beto.
His Daddy will find another job for him - perhaps Mayor of El Paso

Age 65+ don't make up 65% of the voters in an election.
