Of course he had heard of the rev's racist, anti-jew, anti-american statements.
His explanations just don't hold water. In fact, his lame excuses remind us of the slickness of ole bubba himself.
To say if the rev had not retired, he would have quit the church is preposterous and again doesn't fly in the face of the evidence - these statements go back at least 7 years. Why didn't he quit/condemn the remarks earlier?
He only addressed the racist, inflammatory statements because he was FORCED to.
I believe that Obama knew of Rev Wrights views (I also believe that Mrs Obama agrees with Rev Wrights vision of the US judging by her 'for the first time I'm proud of my country' remark). Which means that the reason Obama sat in that pew all those Sundays, and cultivated a friendship with a man whose views he doesn't agree with, was for political pandering.
Either way, not too attractive.....but then again what else do we expect from a politian?

Obama also never read the hate-filled "church" bulletins written by Wright every month... Obama never heard Wright when Wright say that AIDS was designed by the government to kill blacks and how crack was a CIA project to enslave blacks?? Wright, never once made such statements to his pupil (according to Obama, Wright is his mentor, his spiritual guide, and his friend)??
And Obama also never heard, in 23 years of dealing with his mentor and spiritual guide that Wright traveled to Libya, a terrorist nation with hatemonger Louis Farrkahan of the Nation of Islam????

2. Obama denouced Farrakhan after Hillary CONFRONTED Obama to do so during a debate. Before that, he did not denounce Farrakhan.

I am beginning to wonder if Americans are smarter than this considering how they voted for Obama in the primary and considering who they elected for president in the past (GWB)... I am still scratching my head over that one???? I am hoping that the up coming primary will reflect some common sense and logic but then again I remember GWB! It is amazing to me that anybody would have voted for this man... just hope I am not amazed again.
Well....he can sit there for 100 yrs and listen to all that Rev. Wright says.........who CARES. Those are Rev. Wrights ideas, they could be true/untrue or perhaps anti-America but never racist. I embrace Rev. Wright's sermon, true all the way to the gutter - he just happens to word them in a way that might offend some folks. Who cares if those folks are offended.

At what point does that stop being mine and other tax payers' problem, and become their problem.
If the conditions are no better after forty years of government help and welfare, why try to continue the same welfare policies? Time to help yourselves. There is not one white American still alive that had any active role in creating a slave state. Time to tighten the purse straps of the Fed and make people improve their own conditions. It is no longer our problem and hasn't been for the last 150 years. You'd think three generations after the civil rights act was passed, at least some self improvement would have taken place. But sadly, these areas have gotten worse.
And if the CIA did introduce crack to the inner cities to enslave black people, why are we losing money every year with programs to get people off crack, put them in jail, and continue to grow the welfare state with unwanted crack babies, born with no support structure? It just doesn't make any sense. That conspiracy is yet another crutch, so the black community doesn't have to take any responsibility for the current state of Black america.

Is he angry? Yes. More importantly does he have a right to be YES, as does many of us; some of us who are descedants of slaves and the rest just guilty of being born BIA.

A scientist funded by the US government has deliberately created an extremely deadly form of mousepox, a relative of the smallpox virus, through genetic engineering.
The new virus kills all mice even if they have been given antiviral drugs as well as a vaccine that would normally protect them.
The work has not stopped there. The cowpox virus, which infects a range of animals including humans, has been genetically altered in a similar way.
The new virus, which is about to be tested on animals, should be lethal only to mice, Mark Buller of the University of St Louis told New Scientist. He says his work is necessary to explore what bioterrorists might do.
But the research brings closer the prospect of pox viruses that cause only mild infections in humans being turned into diseases lethal even to people who have been vaccinated.

SAN DIEGO -- The U.S. government created the deadly AIDS virus as a way of wiping out blacks and other minorities around the world, says a researcher who's fought for 10 years to bring his eye-opening charge to light.
Boyd E. Graves, a lawyer and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, says he has "irrefutable evidence of the United States' secret plan to cull world populations by unleashing a stealth biological microorganism."
Graves insists the AIDS virus was developed in an ultrasecret government project called the Special Virus Program.
"We believe HIV is the product of intent. We believe AIDS is the product of design," he said in a telephone interview last month from New York City, before addressing the Black African Holocaust Conference.
According to a report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, African-Americans account for 38 percent of all AIDS cases in this country -- yet they represent only 12 percent of the population. And the disease has attacked millions of people in Africa, which has suffered from the pandemic more than anywhere else in the world.
AIDS is one of the most important weapons in the government arsenal of biological terrorism, declares Graves. He has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in San Diego demanding an open review of the facts he's uncovered, including the two most shocking elements:
- A Special Virus Flow Chart that details the government's "coordinated research program to develop a cancer virus that depletes the immune system."
- A photograph of a manmade virus that's virtually identical to the AIDS virus.
Yet this photograph was shot in 1971 -- 14 years before the known AIDS virus was discovered.
Graves also has documents from government and scientific leaders, which reveal sinister intentions on the part of scientists and government leaders.
A 1948 memo from a top State Department official, for instance, urges colleagues to "get on with the task of dealing with the burgeoning populations of the Third World."
For those who think the U.S. government would never do such a terrible thing to any of its people, Graves offers as evidence the horrendous revelations about the Tuskeegee Project.
In that infamous program, which began in 1932, government researchers secretly infected black men with syphilis so they could study the disease -- even after a cure had been found.
"Between 1964 and 1978, the secret federal virus program spent $550 million of taxpayer money to invent AIDS," Graves writes on his Web site, www.boydgraves.com
"It is now necessary to spend whatever it takes to dismantle an invention that has led to the greatest crime against humanity in the history of the world," he declares.

You can try to drag this Wright controversy back in the forefront all you want in hopes to scare and deter Obama voters but you're all failing, as evidenced by Hillary Clinton's failing and dwindling campaign which she should just stop before she completely embarrasses herself.
