I guess I’m guilty of age discrimination. No way I would support, Sanders, Biden, or any other candidate over the age of, at the absolute oldest, 68. And I think the democrats are begging for 4 more years of tRump if they don’t launch a moderate Democrat to the nomination. These candidates pushing Free Everything are out of touch. I hope the democrats don’t blow it in 2020 but it is not looking good.

Bernie should get the Democratic nomination.... if you want a Trump second term. I'm no political scientist, but Sanders will have a tougher time getting the Democratic nomination this time. Last time he was a clear second choice for Hillary haters. This time, so far, he's got ten other Dems running, many of whom are saying similar things that Bernie said in 2016. All of them are younger than him and most are better speakers. One thing Bernie might have on all of them is fundraising; we'll have to see on that point.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the majority of those who wanted him to run are Republicans. Personally, I am not a fan of him

Not every Democrat is hard left and I don't think Klobachar will go there no matter what. Kamala Harris was quick to point out that she doesn't consider herself a 'democratic socialist". There is room for a middle lane and some are determined to be in it as an alternative to Trump and the far left.

Time will tell.

I like your choice of vehicles, but your reading comprehension is somewhat lacking.. Go ahead and give it another look, slowly and carefully, and you will discover that I did say Trump too is to old to run.

I'm certainly glad Trump did decide to run because he saved America from hillary and has repaired much of the damage done by anti-American obama, .... but I would prefer to see younger people get involved. It is quite obvious one doesn't need to have the experience and wisdom of a worn old old coot to be able to properly run the government.

Look at all of the major corporations run successfully by much younger men or women. Old age need not be a requirement to run this country properly, in fact the younger could and would do a much better job with new, fresh ideas.
I happen to be in the same age group as the a fore mentioned old coots, and probably in better better health and condition than any of them, but that doesn't change my mind that we need younger people to get involved. I'm sure most of the young, brilliant minds are too busy to get involved with the corrupt system that the government has become, so it was good of Trump to make the sacrifice and jump in to save America from the democrats, but unfortunately he only prolonged the inevitable. Like the Roman empire, no one is strong enough to defeat us, we are being destroyed from the inside. Look how terribly America has declined over the last 50 years, the last 100 years, the country won't exist in another 50 years. Fortunately I won't have to see it, but your kids will suffer the consequences.

Thank you democrats.... your proposed government programs are destroying America.
So drive and enjoy your muscle cars while you can, the good times are rapidly fading into oblivion ...

Now, whether or not that makes him a good candidate for this office, not so sure about that. But, after Trump, a Chimpanzee in a suit would be an improvement...….a YUGE improvement !
This is true, but everything must be looked at in context.

Bernie had only Hillary as an opponent, so that made it a clear-cut decision. This time he is running with a pack of progressives who are younger and more diverse. It will not be easy for him, and he is well aware of this.

But, just having Bernie running moves everyone further to the left, and maybe that is Bernie's true intention. I honestly do not believe he could win, and he's honestly not a Democrat.

Edited to add:

I decided to search to try to find a reference.

After three tweaks to my search, I found what I'll link below, which is what I think the graph I saw was referring to. It was done by Marist, but was co-sponsored by NPR and PBS Newshour:

You weren't alone in your feelings.

But once a nominee is selected by a party, there's still the election that must be won awaiting. Party unity always holds out more hope for the win than party division, and that's why the loser always supports the nominee.

There have always been a few losers who don't, but those guys always do worse the second time around when they do. Ron Paul is an example. Ralph Nader is another.

Bernie was smarter than either of those guys.
