For Bernie Sanders, Holding Onto Support May Be Hard in a 2020 Bid (Liberalism, dollar)

A guy who is so left-wing, he doesn't even identify as "Democrat". I think the only "Independent" in the Senate? Maybe there is one other person.
A communist, so in love with Marx that he took his honeymoon in Russia.
I wonder where the "media" were when it came to Mr. Sanders (Sanders isn't even his real name - his father changed it) taking his honeymoon in Russia?
Will the "media" now, this time around, bring up his love of Marx/Old Russia? They are, afterall, the greatest threat to America.
I will not be supporting Bernie. The only reason I voted for him in the primary was because he was not Hillary.
But, get off that honeymoon stuff. He married when the town he was on the city council of became sister cities with a town in Russia. A whole delegation from the town went. If you don't like him fine. But at least be accurate in your condemnation.
Can you imagine a ticket with Bernie and AOC? (I know she’s not eligible yet, unfortunately) but if both the House and Senate were controlled by the Dems, and we had real politicians like the two I mentioned running our country, great things could happen in the US!!
That ticket would go down faster than Mondale or Goldwater.
Trump was elected by about 25% of the eligible voters.
It doesn't look like it now, but traditional Americans want a reasonable, middle of the road POTUS.
If the Ds get semi sane, they have a shot at winning. But I doubt they will get smart.
The Donald will win again.
They day Bernie showed up to file, the DNC should have told him to **** off and run as an independent. But that would split the vote. If he does not win, his delegates to the convention will not support the person nominated this time either. Their behavior at the convention was awful. IMO, it caused as much disharmony DWS did.

Nope, he was the mayor and was the one who choose to have a sister-city relationship with a town in Russia. He also chose to create a sister city with a town in Nicaragua. This wasn't some random visit that he tagged along on because it had been arranged by others, his choices were the impetus for the trip
Not sure either of us will ever know his motivation.
IIRC, during that time frame it was the popular thing for cities and towns to do. Many were doing the same thing. The city council could have told him no, pick another town or country.
I have no clue. Perhaps he is a communist in his heart of hearts.

I have no idea what's in his heart of hearts, nor do I care. What I do know is that he is vulnerable to attack in a general election on this issue, with lots of video and soundbites that will reinforce the idea that he is a communist and/or extreme socialist in those who might have otherwise considered voting for the Democratic nominee.
No doubt CNN is opening up space for their resident Kamala Harris pal to write a hit piece on Bernie over his age, race and gender while digging up 2016 memes about him being anti-minority and anti-woman.
Only question is whether they leave off "opinion" from the article.
The DNC is never going to let Bernie take that nomination. And he's absolutely stupid if he thinks otherwise.
Bernie is in it to win it for the people. #BERNIE2020
