Sen. Gillibrand has made justice for victims of sexual crimes one of her major issues since day one in the Senate.

She led Congress in fighting for changes to the military justice system to help victims get better treatment and to curb the good-old-boys excusing one another. That was while Obama was President.

She had the courage to criticize fellow Democrat Senator Al Franken for his slimy treatment of women. Al Franken has no one but himself to blame for his behavior and for the consequences. He never thought he'd be called on it because he's a man, a celebrity and a progressive.

It's obvious from some of these posts that there are still people who don't think harassment against women is a serious issue. Thankfully, more and more women are willing to stand up for themselves and other women.

The progressive wing of the Democratic party has too many people throwing in the hat. They all have pretty much a full list of domestic issues they would like to push. Trump has made such a mess of international affairs, it would be better to be thinking of someone who can hit the ground running on the world stage. They may not get a chance to address a domestic agenda. I don't think any of them will admit this because global affairs just aren't sexy enough to Younger progressive voters.

Harassment against women is a serious issue. No one should go to work and think that if I boff the boss, I get to keep my job.

Al Franken was kidding around when he made had that pix taken. Part of his routine is that he is a comedian. The problem with what Gillibrand did was to cause the removal of a charismatic midwestern democrat from the senate. Who knows if that lt. Governor will survive the next election. We never hear anything about her. Franken was a potent force in the Dem. party. We need all hands on deck to fight the .1% who want to take everything away from us.

For Gillibrand to make a serious run for Prez she needs to be more than Suzy one note.

Democrat clown car? I've seen some impressive democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee. If the democratic nominating process ultimately has Kamala Harris debating Trump, she will take him apart. Then she will go on to get the female vote, the Trump has no business being President vote, and finally will bring out the black community like we haven't seen in ten years.

Thumbs down Kirsten Gillibrand for President? Maybe Not.

Under no circumstances would I ever vote for her.

If NY wants her for their senator, so be it.

Sheer partisan blindness

Trump is the most unpopular President in the long history of the Gallup Poll.

Any candidate with a pulse, and a few dead ones properly preserved, would give Trump stiff competition.

Pun intended.

Why don't poll women you know and see how many find it hilarious when a man they may or may not know places his hands over their breasts, even if not touching them, as a joke and takes a photo. How many do think find that amusing?

Besides being black and female why should Kamala Harris be president?

You clearly didn't watch any of the Kavanaugh hearings. She embarrassed herself.

But I have some problems with her. Shortly before a critical vote in early 2017 on corporate taxes, Gillibrand became preoccupied with Bill Clinton's activities with Monika Lewinsky twenty years earlier. This was a week before one of Donald Trump's biggest boondogles called the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Didn't she have an opinion on that? Or was it over her head?

Just before that she goes after Al Franken a fellow democrat. One would think that Franken was drugging and raping like a thousand year old Viking instead of posing in a silly picture where there didn't even seem to be in physical contact with the woman. Al Franken was a popular mid western Democratic senator at a time when we Democrats need every senator we can get.

Here is what Gillibrand did for herself: https://www.oaoa.com/editorial/colum...8c1be68f6.html
I don't care if you think she's hot. It has nothing to do with her qualifications. I don't like her because she's stabbed people in the back, including Al Franken, who was much smarter than she is.
