I would imagine that Trump will work harder once we get close to the election to actually satisfy those people in the swing states.

Now, a middle-ground guy like Biden (who Trump really can complain about being handsy with women, but if that's all Trump really has, it's not much since his infamous "grabb'em by the..." statements) can possibly unseat him.

Biden was also very popular with black voters, and Trump tends not to be. The economy improved under the Obama/Biden terms, so Biden is proven in that respect.

Which is why Biden freaks Trump out.

Ironically, the Democrats tend to want a "purer" candidate than Biden.

It's their race to lose, though.

Trump can out-campaign anyone on the other side. I'll say this about him - he has more energy than anyone his age I've ever encountered.

Biden can beat Trump. But the Democratic lefties like Sanders, Warren, and Harris? Probably not. I hope the left wing of the Democratic Party realizes that half a loaf is better than none.

Warren is beating Trump in Rasmussen's poll today. Warren! Rasmussen! Things are not looking good.

Demwits catering to their rabid Progressive base will cost them not only the election, but the Party.

Not even the Demwits want Sanders. They are squeezing him out again which will enrage their shrinking base .

Fixed your title...

Why the Democrats strategy of only supporting their base will cost them election.

And let's keep in mind that his focusing only on this base is kind of un-American.

I agree. Those states have a lot of "common sense" type voters and after watching Trump's temper tantrums and chaos, it has got to turn off many of them.
