All I know is that former US Senator Al D'Amato (R-NY) has claimed he is a friend of her and her family; not exactly the most glowing endorsement for someone looking for a Sanders type candidate

Haven't decided yet. I'm going to give all the Dems a good look. I'll be voting for Dem in the general election but will be keeping an eye on the huge field in the primary.

Interestingly, and surprisingly for me, the two candidates I like the best thus far are actually Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris. Elizabeth is especially surprising because in general I think she is kind of annoying and because of that I don't think she'd fair well in the general election, but she has a lot of great ideas and is the main progressive candidate who is highlighting her plans on specific issues. I like Kamala and have always liked her. But she hasn't come up with anything impressive to me.

I also really like Amy Klobuchar. She is more "my" kind of candidate and if she can stay visible and popular, I'd really like her to run. I think she is not as polarizing and not uber progressive. I'm not someone who is all that into the liberal progressive attitude of the 21st century (which IMO is being close minded and anal on specific issues and throwing around names - similar to the uber conservatives who are also very close minded).

Buttigieg, Warren, Biden. I'll vote for the best person running against Trump--most likely that will be the Dem candidate.

At this point, I think I am most in agreement with Tim Ryan's stands on issues, and he is what I would like to see in our next POTUS, meaning that he's young, not far left, and not Trump.

Yeah; I like him too. Unfortunately, he's late to the game and he doesn't have great name recognition. I donated to see if he can make the first debate.

However, right now my favorite is Warren; she's been working hard on her plans and policies and not just spouting out platitudes.

So far, Tulsi Gabbard is my choice. I do know that she has no shot.. the DNC will not allow her to be their candidate. Oh well.. I am just hoping they do not appoint a far left loon like Bernie or Warren.

The DNC "will not allow her"? That's crap. She's allowed to run just like everyone else and has even qualified to participate in the first debate in two weeks. She's not particularly popular but that is based on what voters think.

Please do not call my opinion "crap". I believe the DNC will throw its money behind who they want as their nominee..and that person WILL BE the nominee. that's my opinion. If you think that's crap well it may just be possible the jokes on you. Just like the last election. If I can remember correctly you were one of those who laughed at the notion of Trump beating HRC. Have a great day.
