I've seen many calculations and speculations of race, gender, and home state combinations: Harris/Buttigieg, Biden/Warren, etc., with the apparent requirement that the veep be plucked from the top ten of current candidates. Most of our past veeps were not presidential candidates, and many were nobodies quietly munching popcorn in the background. I like Tulsi Gabbard, but she's not likely to win this time, and I don't have a match for her.
