These activists are not representative of the entire Democratic Party. About 55% of Democrats identify as moderates and another large chunk (25% to 30%) as conservative.

There was an Spanish-to-English interpreter involved in this communication between Biden and the Spanish speaking person. So the Spanish speaking person would speak, then the interpreter spoke in English to Biden. So there is a delay. It wasn't because Biden was baffled. Rather, he was waiting for the Spanish speaker to finish speaking and for the interpreter to relay in English.
First of all, they needed a translator to confront him. Second, he has nothing to apologize for because those deported under the Obama administration should have been.

Yeah, these activists are minority of all democratic voters. Most democrats, including Hispanic democrats, have more pragmatic views on immigration.
