Where do these Dem candidates stand on illegal immigration ?

Full amnesty for all ?
Full bore open borders ?

With all the media attention on the illegals why are the candidates so hush hush on their platform regarding this ?

Immigration has been a losing issue for 10+ years. The Repubs couldn't come to a consensus on it when they had the house any more than the Dems can come to a consensus. It is the proverbial can which keeps getting kicked down the road.

Here is my summary of where the Dem Party is on it right now, but of course individuals have divergent ideas:
- DACA must be reinstituted. There is no reason to punish productive members of society just because of their parents.
- There should be a path to amnesty for productive illegals.
- Asylum is an important part of America's tradition and needs to remain so.
- Borders should not be open
- Illegal immigration should remain a crime, in other words, be subject for deportation.
- Free Healthcare for illegals is not going to happen
- Demonizing people south of the border has to stop

- Asylum is an important part of America's tradition and needs to remain so. (Agree)
- Borders should not be open (I could be wrong. I have no idea what they mean by open and closed borders. I mean technically our borders are open 24/7. Though I don't feel someone coming into the U.S. Undocumented should be something criminal and more a civil issue. I do think the process to becone a legalized immigrant in the U.S. should be reformed. Less red tape. Don't deny someone for just a criminal background look further into the issue. Improve and expedite the vetting process. Increase border patrol. Focus less on border security but more border safety. Work with border Nation's in improving safety along the border.)
- Free Healthcare for illegals is not going to happen (Could see a tax that provides up to $15,000 of health insurance a year to those in need of emergency care who have no insurance.)
- Stop the stigma of those individuals crossing the Southern border.

Democrats don't have to do one damn thing to make Trump look bad. His border policies are complete and abject failures.

But with all the love for illegals and wanting to let them enter the country why don't they just be upfront about it ?
Full amnesty, open borders..call it what you will. That seems to be the Dem platform although they won't come out and say it.

It is not. There should be borders and they should be enforced but we can do that without the hateful talk and the inhumanely treatment of those trying to get to our country.

Also ANY immigration reform 5hat happens that does not address the conditions in those countries that are fueling the immigration will not be resolved by walls, detention camps nor deportation.

How many Democrats have said they want open borders / full amnesty?

This Democrats want free borders is just baloney... why are they not soliciting Europeans to come over then?
They would vote Democratic 9.8/10 times.

Free Healthcare for illegals... most illegals would (and do) pay income tax under a new system.
So their salary would be taxed before they received it, and would pay for their own insurance and get Medicare for all.

If there are any companies that are paying illegals "under the table" they should be prosecuted.

None have come out and say it but their actions seem to think that's what they want.

You mean you don't know? You haven't heard what they have said?

They want open borders, and taxpayer-funded health care for illegal aliens (thereby incentivizing them).

And their deflection when asked how they'd address the border invasion should be revealing, too.
