Sean Duffy today announced he was leaving his congressional seat in Wisconsin. His resignation is effective in September.

Combined with other retirements, Duffy is the ninth GOP representative in the House to announce his retirement.

Duffy cites family issues as the reason for his retirement. I gather his wife is having a difficult pregnancy. For that I truly feel sorry and wish him the best, despite my general opposition to him and the GOP.

It doesn't look good for the GOP in the House this year.

Looks like Pelosi will hold the speaker's gavel for at least one more term.

Sean Duffy was a 5 term Congressman. Wonder if his seat will be competitive now that an incumbent isn't running.

They know another blue wave will rise when America has a chance to sweep away the orange maniac.

Three more GOP congressman announce they will not seek re-election since Duffy. John Shimkus-IL, Bill Flores-TX, and Jim Sensenbrenner-WI will leave the House. Flores is the fifth (of 23) Republican from Texas that will not seek a new term. Three GOP congressmen have or will be retiring. 12 will serve out their terms but not run again. This now makes 15 Republican reps from the last congress that will leave politics.
