Klobuchar is a possible but more of a risk given lack of name recognition.
Sanders is a force to be reckoned with. He is strong, experienced ,and smart. He also has a way with younger voters, as evidenced by the last election.
Speaking as a "Never Trumper", I really, really, really wanted to see a Democrat who I could vote for in good conscience, but since Delaney left the race, there is none. So, although I think that a Democrat CAN win in November, I personally will be doing a "write in".

A lot of people rightly believe that the system is not working for them and that the political system is bought by the super rich.
I could see Sanders having a chance if the economy suddenly tanked. But otherwise there just aren't enough people who see themselves as downtrodden. And then there's the problem of getting 65,000,000 downtrodden to show up on election day...
As much as Democrats beat it into the ground "We are going to BEAT Trump!" It's become quite annoying and their main focus is just that, STILL not telling America what they will do for this country.

I'm amazed how energized and mentally sharp he has remained after having a heart attack while Biden has lost his chance because of obvious age related health decline without any such event.

Huh uh, all those "approval numbers" reflect are the people who are now energized because of the outcome of the impeachment hearings. There was bound to be a spike in his numbers, just because they consider him vindicated and now they are vocal about it.
Once reality sets in, and he keeps messing up, that number will drop again. Plus, it isn't exactly high now.
It's higher than Obama's approval rating and he was re-elected.
