They are +8 and +9 against Trump currently.

Klobuchar is a possible but more of a risk given lack of name recognition.

Sanders is a force to be reckoned with. He is strong, experienced ,and smart. He also has a way with younger voters, as evidenced by the last election.

Speaking as a "Never Trumper", I really, really, really wanted to see a Democrat who I could vote for in good conscience, but since Delaney left the race, there is none. So, although I think that a Democrat CAN win in November, I personally will be doing a "write in".

I could see Sanders having a chance if the economy suddenly tanked. But otherwise there just aren't enough people who see themselves as downtrodden. And then there's the problem of getting 65,000,000 downtrodden to show up on election day...

As much as Democrats beat it into the ground "We are going to BEAT Trump!" It's become quite annoying and their main focus is just that, STILL not telling America what they will do for this country.

Trump 2020!

It appears the majority agrees with my current thinking on the topic.

Sanders and Bloomberg are the best choices against Trump.

Realistically the only one that can beat Trump is Trump. As long as he doesn't turn into his own worst nightmare (see Hillary Clinton), nobody can beat him.

I'm amazed how energized and mentally sharp he has remained after having a heart attack while Biden has lost his chance because of obvious age related health decline without any such event.

Once reality sets in, and he keeps messing up, that number will drop again. Plus, it isn't exactly high now.
It's higher than Obama's approval rating and he was re-elected.
