Its been proven throughout the primary that Obama has states with primarily rural voters. North Carolina is coming up. While there are decent size urban centers in North Carolina, there are still alot of rural blue collar folks in that state. Polls show Obama has a decent lead in NC so I dont know if the theory that Obama can attract the blur collar vote flies.
I know quite a few 'almost rural' blue collar voters in Northwest Indiana who are voting for him, so I can say with certainty that they are not monolithically against him.
