I'm confused. If Biden is the only one running, how are there other nominees? Is putting their name on the ballot just for show? Or would they actually take on Trump?
I assume biden will be the democratic party presidential nominee for 2020 unless he dies or becomes physically incapacitated prior to the democratic national convention in august.
Many would argue that Biden has already passed the threshold of mentally incapacitated.
FDR was physically incapacitated, mentally compromised would be a far worse condition, and seems pretty difficult to hide with Biden at this point.
Not that I would wish either malady upon anyone, but intellectual honesty, and common sense dictate that Biden should not be POTUS. A "whole" candidate should be fielded by the dems, otherwise it further exacerbates (and demonstrates evidence for) the debate that they simply want the USA to fail, and are likely shills for the CCP.

It's all about beating Trump. If they think he's too weak they would certainly replace him with a stronger candidate

I hope Biden's the Dem candidate. If Trump can't beat Biden, then Trump doesn't deserve 4 more years.
The only weaker candidates I can think of is Pochahontas and Bernie...socialists.
All Trump has to do is hang China around Joe's neck, & articulate Joe's role in a treasonous coup attempt, & those 2 things alone should sway independents in Trump's favor.
If there are debates, they will be cringeworthy for Dems. Independents will get to see why we cannot have a President with the level of diminished mental acuity that Joe Biden suffers from.
There may not be any debates. Joe may not campaign at all. The new slogan will be "You Know Joe" which subliminally suggests Joe doesn't have to debate, and campaign...he's been around for 40+ years, so he's running on the record American voters already know. This way the DNC can hide Joe's condition.
