I have never really understood why they think this virus is going to hurt Trump. It is the governor's who were largely in charge of it. Only about 4 states really got hurt bad.
We are doing much better than most other western countries. Having 200 deaths per 1 million population. Spain, Italy, UK, are all over 500 per 1 million. In the end the hospitals were not overwelmed.
He got a stimulus package to the people. It is entirely possible the economy will be in pretty good shape by September.
Joe Biden... ikes.
I think it's not that the virus will directly hurt Trump, but it did highlight again some of his worst traits: his denial of reality, his disregard for science, his lack of empathy, his tendency to scapegoat, his allowing money to trump health/safety issues.

The real damage has already been done to people who think like that but it may only be a birth defect !!!

Only Trump-haters would think that. Other people realize that he quickly cut off Chinese flights, listened to the early reports from scientists who (WHO, get it?) said it wasn’t transmissible, then changed his approach when scientists changed their minds and said it could be 2 million dead, expresses sympathy at virtually every briefing, does not scapegoat but certainly speaks up against the leftists seeking every opportunity to destroy him, and finally, understands that opening the economy isn’t money vs lives but that lives will be lost if we do not open up the economy.

Rachel we can keep screaming all of the facts at them, but their Trump hatred trumps everything else. They will never acknowledge anything other than that they hate Trump.

Can you "scream" along with Trump - deny deny deny - for about 45 days? I mean, those are facts too. You don't have to look far to find them. A while ago on another thread, I posted about 15 times in the late January to mid-March timeframe when he continually downplayed the situation. Only 15 times because I knew that actually providing proof of what Trump said would just fall on deaf ears, so more than 15 wasn't worth it.
As James Carville said, "It's the economy, stupid"
Trump has zero chance of being re elected during one of the biggest economic downturns in US history...
Why would that matter? It's not his fault.
