If 60+ percent of the people think that the Republican administration has steered us off course, and we have suffered wage losses, inflation, etc in the last 8 years, why would we want more of the same? No matter what you think of our candidates, either one will be preferable to remaining with the Veto pen poised in the Whitehouse. A vote for McCain is a vote for more deadlocks, more ineffective programs, more of the same.

It just depends on how successful people are at alienating the Hillbilly uneducated Hillary supporters. People when offended do some strange things. There is a lot of healing needed to be done in the Democrat party. I am sure that the Democrat party is not represented by the types MOD CUT that like to make race an issue whenever possible. There are probably more ignorant people like that than we know but they tend to only come out in the anonymous forum type atmosphere.

BTW I think deadlock, logjam is what is best for Washington. The less they do, the better off we the voters will be. So much for a 2 party system that is entirely corrupt.

Well that depends on how much McCain can separate himself from Bush. Working class like their money in their pockets. They also are not dumb enough to believe the liberal rhetoric that the tax cuts were for the rich only crap.

I would agree with you except for the media factor. The truth on taxes will never get through the media bias unfortunatly. Besides the media has had way too much fun distorting both candidates and prolonging the whole primary. They will have even more fun with the general election. I'll go out on a limb here, their coverage will be more favorable towards the Democrat party. I know, I know, not much of a risk!

I am not 100% in favor of McCain, but why would I vote for a party that doesn't even have enough sense or organization to run their own primaries without making a total mess out of them. Imagine them running the country.

Gridlock is good. It helps to keep the government from spending more of our money and taking more of our liberties.

"No man's life, liberty, or property is safe while the Legislature is in session" Gideon Tucker

And for the record, I don't like Hillary, Obama, or McCain as they are all just varying forms of big government, nanny state socialists.

Because it makes them absolutely furious to think that gay people may be able to get married, or that somewhere, somehow, there is a single mother cashing in food stamps for a loaf of wonder bread that a tiny sliver of "THEIR MONEY!!!" paid for.

They would much rather vote away their health & retirement benefits and job prospects.
