In case you missed it: McCain on SNL - 2008 Presidential Campaign Blog - Political Intelligence - Boston.com

Too funny! Some good reviews too.

Quote:
So far, the reviews on McCain's appearance have been pretty good. Washington Post style columnist Tom Shales wrote "McCain won't be joining the cast, of course, having other preoccupations, but he did a first-class job in two appearances on the season finale."

Politico's Jonathan Martin opined that, in joking about his age, McCain, 71, actually came across as more youthful:

"Appearing last night on 'SNL' — a venue that doesn't scream old fogey — he used the start and finish of his bit to make fun of, in his words, his 'oldness.'

And it doesn't hurt that in between he joked about a pop culture reference that few in his generation would get. Hard to imagine even the Gipper riffing on 'gaydar.'"

I saw it and I thought it was funny.

I actually always thought John McCain had a good sense of humor. One thing he said earlier in the campaign that made me laugh was when he called himself a "liberal conservative."

I thought he looked young but he certainly wasn't funny. John McCain will lose.

I thought it was funny, especially McCain's little bit egging on the democrats to keep campaigning... even after the convention!
