I'm sure you believe that the Republicans don't want "people of color" in leadership positions, but you are wrong. I imagine you are driven by emotions and this is how you "feel".
John McCain has a "person of color" on the vp short list. I guess reality doesn't fit into your victimhood way of looking at everything. Thank God people of all colors are moving past this crap and realizing they can do what they set their minds to and are not being held down by the "man". How '60's.
Well put. The republicans have put "people of color" in all types of positions - sec of state, supreme court, possible VP.
The fact that "persons of color" have difficulty running for elective office is a problem of certain contingency voting blocks; not the GOPs fault. It is painful to see that the GOP can't make inroads into the african-american vote considering that the dems have done virtually nothing for them and, in fact, may wish to see them continue the status quo and secure vote.
The reality is that, the GOP base won't allow a black person to be elected to a position of power. You can deny it all you want but it's true!!
That's garbage imo. Although this current election may prove me wrong, I still believe Obama will lose and that someday in the future, the first African-American president will be a member of the GOP!
Beats me. Maybe instead of focusing on the color of someone's skin, we should treat them all as individuals. It's just an idea.
Interesting to make those comparisons but both the Democratic and Republican parties of now are very different from what they used to be in the 1800's and even as recently as during the civil rights era.
Could it also have something to do that people of "color" vote democrat 90% to 10%.
