Not to worry,
You folks can still go to Paul's own convention to be held in Minneapolis at the same time as the GOPs

If it's anything like NC GOP, they weren't on the list because they've not been involved for decades. Nobody knows them, and only trusted delegates get elected.

I respect his spunk and even agree with some of his proposed policies. Politics need people like Ron Paul both the Democrats and Republicans. The 2 party system is not working for the voters.

I agree and I support probably 90% of Ron Paul's policies, he is also a constitutionalist - libertarian like our founding fathers, a patriot no less than McCain, the only problem is our country has asked for more government, for example federal intervention on economy, Iraq, immigration, the three biggest issues and thus whether you vote Red or Blue this November you will get a bigger government. It's passed the point of no return.

I do too, and wonder what happened to the words, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country".

Occasionally I wonder what I missed in life that I think that I am entitled to nothing but what my work and wits can gain me. I just don't care to hear a mixture of pandering and empty rhetoric from politicians - that said, I also enjoy a good speech from time to time. But after the inspiration is had, it's time to get down to nuts and bolts and see how we can do better.

I like that Ron's a constitutionalist - we could use more, especially in the judicial department. I tend towards being a libertarian myself, and definitely would like to see more than the red and blue in the game - both machines have gotten so big and indebted to umpteen special interests that the frontrunners can't keep track of what they should say at any given time.

I feel that we the people have gotten ourselves into a predicament. Somehow we have lost the desire to be independent and insist on our representatives being responsible. For whatever reason, there is something about politics that breeds a contempt for integrity, and it saddens me that we the people are content to be blinkered and led about on one wild goose chase after another. Would Ron be able to change that?...I would hope so - at least a strong vote would show that there are some of us who want to do better.

The neocons blackballed Paul because he didn't support Bush and Cheney's farce in Iraq.

I really wish Dr. Paul would run in the general election as an independent....

Paul frnkly holds no issues that many agree with. He wants to go back to teh days of george wallace and staes rights. In foreign policy he agress with no republican or democrat;he wants to with draw from the world. He even would leave Korea fater a ceasefire has been in place for decdes. If hwe had been president in the past the russinas would be in western europe and in control of most of the world. If he had been president Saddam would have be to saudi leader by now . His foreign ploicy would be a disaster.

Why do we have to be the world's police? There are plenty of other countries that mind their own business, don't get involved in foreign battles, and they don't have very many, if any, enemies.
And if you think we're involved in places like the middle east because we're concerned about peace and democracy, I have a bridge to sell you.
