DeSantis will have to be his own man and no clone of anyone else to win the White House.
Trump will not be as popular next year as he is now, and he's not as popular now as he was in 2016 when he was fresh and totally his own man, a candidate who was distinctly different from all the others in the race.

DeSantis is NOT going against Trump in 2024, it will be some anti-Trump Republicans that will do as bad or worse than Jeb Bush or Kascish in the primary.

DeSantis was the first one to come out in public to defend Trump after the FBI raid and he is going many times to Arizona to campaign for Trump's pick Lake and others. You think that sounds like a person that will fight Trump for the base?

I didn't know the key to win the GOP nomination was to win in a blue state governor . I guess Charlie Baker of Mass, Chris Sununu of N.H., Phil Scott from Vermont should run in the GOP primary.
