This district is 84% Hispanic, too! This should send a wake-up call to the Democratic Party, as one of their steadfast voting blocs seem to be fracturing...

A wake up call that their policies, or their candidates (or both) are turning off a demographic that has historically been a strong supporter.

Default Texas Seat Flips From D to R: Sends first Mexican born woman to Congress

A special election was held in the 34th congressional district, a border district, after the democrat resigned. The victor is Republican Mayra Flores, who came to the US when she was a young girl from Mexico. The family came in legally—did it the right way.

She’s a respiratory therapist, and is married to a border agent. Her opponent, Dan Sanchez, didn’t receive much support from the DNC, touting himself as a pro-life democrat. The democrat who held the seat before this election was there 10 years, so quite a flip for new Rep. Flores. She’ll have a short first term, as she’ll have to run again in January. History made tonight!

Default Mayra Flores (R) Flips U.S. House Seat in South Texas, Historically a Democratic Stronghold

Quote:
Republican Mayra Flores prevailed Tuesday in a special election for an open congressional seat in South Texas, marking a major breakthrough for Republicans eager to blaze new inroads in the historically blue region.

She beat Dan Sanchez, the leading Democrat, outright in the closely watched race and will be the first Mexican-born congresswoman. She will get to serve only until January, but Republicans heralded her win as a shot of momentum in their new South Texas offensive.

And she won by 7 points - 51% to 44% over the Democrat.

Fantastic news and a sign of things to come.

Dems are in for a shellacking of historical proportions in upcoming election cycles. They've overplayed their stupid SJW, virtually signalling BS and its become obvious to even the dimmest of dim-bulb voters.

Keep in mind this district is 85% Hispanic.

All the Democrats have left in their coalition are convicted felons, woke white liberal extremists, black women, antifa, and trans activists.
