In the Los Angeles mayor election Caruso was well ahead. He is registered as a Democrat as a Republican stands no chance in Calif. but he was a Republican although a very moderate one.
A week after the election now Democrat Bass is ahead.
No politics allowed in the LA forum that's why here.

Kinda like how Colorado has universal mail-in balloting, and Lauren Boebert, Ken Buck, and Doug Lamborn never won, right?

I gave up voting in CA. The last time I voted, I turned in the ballot at the local library at 11:00AM and the results were announced on the news at 5PM. There was no way they could have counted my vote between 11AM and 5PM. My conclusion is they already picked the winners and disregarded votes that came in later.

This is why I've said that we need a system of voting that allows each voter to confirm their vote was counted. A way to see an image of your ballot and at what NUMBER in the count it was added. For example if there were 102359 votes counted for candidate X, what number was YOUR ballot counted at? You should know. NOT ONLY THAT, but you should SEE the counting take place and know for sure your ballot was counted.

That does not seem practical does it? How would you "see" your ballot counted? In my state, if you vote in person you put your ballot into the tabulator. That doesn't really prove that it was counted. It could be fake. The machine could be counting it differently than you voted. Your "receipt" could be bogus. The number they gave you for your count could be completely made up. No, you gotta take some things on faith and trust. Until you know who came along and got beat, Americans rightly had a good deal of both in their elections.

It's funny that Republicans are so upset about mail-in ballots when traditionally it has worked in Republican favor across the country. Political analysts and consultants of both parties have known this for decades.

The only reason people are upset is because Trump made a phony-baloney excuse about it in his last campaign, and the mass of gullible followers in the MAGA camp swallowed the claim hook, line and sinker.

Now they are all scared of mail-in balloting, when they should be excited about it.

Faith and trust are gone after Democrats changed the election laws in 2019 that make it so easy for them to cheat.

Please give a reference to the election law change, and your explanation.
