R+4 which is this district... As long as the person does not start channeling their inner crazy MGT, things should hold for the GOP.
I would agree with this. Assuming Kent is declared as 2nd and advances, the GOP should hold the seat. This isn't a Dem leaning district, nor is it an uber GOP district, it is a slightly GOP leaning district in what is likely to be a good year for the GOP in the House. However, if Kent decides to go MTG it is possible the district is not GOP enough to hold despite the current environment.

Fantastic! Down goes another RINO/quisling. Liz Cheney gets her just desserts in just one week, on 08/16/22. Can't wait.
Before you get too excited, Joe Kemp is a former Bernie Sanders supporter. I am very familiar with this district, and it is almost evenly split 50/50 Democrat/Republican. It will be harder for a full fledged MAGA Trump candidate to win than a standard conservative like Jaime Herrera-Beutler. The Republicans might just have thrown away another seat.

We don't need 'standard conservatives' who vote with the regime for fake impeachments based on fake Russian collusion and nothingburger phone calls.

Get out!

Exactly. A quisling like Herrera-Beutler is worse than a Democrat because she lends credibility to the left's lies and narratives.

Kemp was also in the military as a Ranger and Special Forces. Also his wife Shannon was killed in 2019 and he is a Gold Star family member, along with being a single dad. I know some who worked along side him and served with him and they have nothing but good to say about him as a person. I hope he wins it.

Politics make strange bedfellows. MAGA types and Democratic dirty tricksters worked together to get Herrera-Beutler out of the way.

So you’d rather lose the general election to a Democrat rather than retain the seat with a conservative Republican, just because she voted for impeachment? Although I am an independent and not a Republican, I did vote for Trump twice. I think the Democrats have been an utter disaster and I want them defeated, but if you Republicans keep nominating far right conspiracy mongering Trump sycophants, don’t be surprised if your oft predicted Red Wave fails to materialize.

I think the FBI raid had the opposite affect for Trump voters and their candidates. That and woke is starting to take it's toll in the Northwest. Woke and it's effects will start dragging on those candidates.

Only to be replaced by a democrat.
