Richard Blumenthal will be 77 years old in Feb 2023 if he's re-elected.

Doesn't CT need some diversity? How about a woman instead of a rich old uninspiring White guy?

There's a Republican woman named Levy that is being attacked by CT Libs, like a swarm of hornets.

Why not listen to her policy positions, and give her a chance? How about some EEOC CT voters?

Why is CT so anti-female? I thought that was bad.

The state has been trailing the national average for population growth for years, and their pension funding is a train wreck.

Why not try a new direction, and embrace diversity?

Will Iowa re-elect an 88 year old one?

Charles Grassley must be shooting for Strom Thurmond’s record.

What a useless passive aggressive thread. Way to add to the babbling clutter in what could be a productive section of the forum.

Connecticut has 2/5 House Reps that are women, including Jahana Hayes who is Black.

Incumbent Senators have an advantage and Connecticut is overwhelming Democrat, so the Senator in question basically has to have a major controversy/scandal to lose his Seat.

I don't think the Mitch McConnell's PAC will help the Trump backed candidate in CT, when there are more competitive races in other states to consider. Similarly when Cory Booker was up for re-election in 2020 in NJ, McConnnell's PAC didn't really help the Republican candidate there.

I don't see the Connecticut Senate seat being viable for Republicans unless the national environment gets so bad they are easily picking up Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, New Hampshire and Colorado already, and competitive in Washington and Illinois as well. Blumenthal is not exceptionally old for a Senator and unlike in many states, her affiliation with Trump has no benefit in Connecticut.

Guys like that travel on name recognition just like numerous other senators. Since the senate has longer terms than congress their name will be the only in the news for years at a time. Most don't think about or follow political news they way many do on CD and others.

Funny the (D's) use to care about such things, hence the reason Biden lost in his previous two runs for potus, and the press did their job.
This time crickets.

I don't live in CT so I have no idea if the local news still brings up Blumenthal's disgraceful claims, but they should.
I'd say the exact same thing if it were an (R) who made such a claim.

LOL

Florida dodged a bullet when they almost elected Andrew Gillum who the (D's) knew was corrupt, but would have preferred him to DeSantis.
He was suppose to be the next Obama.

Gillum was found in a hotel room with drugs, unconscious, naked, and with a homosexual prostitute. Yet I'd bet dollars to donuts, many of the (D's) would rather have a corrupt loser like Gillum instead of DeSantis as their governor.
