Hobbs should have agreed to a debate. People see that as a weakness in a candidate.

the problem is not that she refused to debate. The problem she is a bad mumbling candidate and a debate would have exposed her on stage. She is a weak candidate and a debate would have expose it. She still wants a political future in Arizona.

If Hobbs loses the governor's race she will have no political future in AZ anymore. She will be seen as a pariah and most of the Dems will resent her.

At this point, she made her bed by deciding not to debate Lake and will see the consequences in November.

Not national, I meant state legislative . She has enough of Democrat support to win a state seat unless they are really p!ssed off with her. Time will tell.

That should be plenty to drag Masters across the finish line against Kelly.
From what I've seen of Lake she is tough. I like her!

She's like Bloomberg. I warned Dems who thought that Bloomberg would be a credible Dem candidates in 2020 that his debating/public speaking style is very off putting (he sounds like a pompous, nasally, far too soft spoken individual to give people confidence in his abilities). But, then again, when his word was law at his company, there was no need to debate and whether his voice and presence instilled confidence was irrelevant.

If she debated Lake Hobbs would even be further behind. Whe she talks in public she comes of as one of the worst speakers I have seen in AZ politics.

I'm curious since this Kari Lake is all over the news nationwide. How do woman in Arizona that are Pro choice and lean open minded about life in general. How do they feel about Kari Lake, and does she get their votes?

I ask because Lake is rather verbal about her views across the board. That I wonder how her views impact voters, that may only agree with some of her views.

Lake has become a national figure in a short period of time. She has used her media background to her advantage. Hobbs should have debated her and now she is suffering for her error. I do not know much about Arizona politics but Lake has become a darling of the right while Hobbs has faded into the background.
