Well, I would certainly hope so.

Hello??

What swing voters?

This is a democrat primary.

Although I will concede that some states in the process allow independent voters.

The article, if you read it, was pointing out that, in the GE versus McCain, Obama will get many of the voters that had previously been Clintons and then some.

About the only group he does poorly with is uneducated whites, but we know that many rednecks are never going to like him. Lack of education and bigotry often go hand in hand.

Again, no surprise there. The vast majority of Democrats will vote for Obama - as will many independents.

Those that think otherwise are merely engaging in wishful thinking.

It's not necessarily the 'uneducated' whites, it is the working class. Of course, by Liberal standards, if you aren't working in an office job or other high paying profession you obviously have inferior education. Makes you wonder why Obama does not fetch support from non-unionized workers.

My parents are lifelong Democrats, - working class union people. They thought Obama was a Middle Eastern Muslim with terrorist ties. I tried to set them straight, but they're uneducated, gullable (I have no clue where they got this, but they live in a very conservative area) and ignorant. They also refuse to shop at Target "because the French own it". I've tried to set them straight on that too, but no luck.

Wasn't this sort of general knowledge? Everyone knows that Obama does well with Independents. The votes he is going to lose are those registered Democrats who voted for Hillary. They won't vote for him.

Can he win without the Democrats? We've haven't had an independent win the WH in gawd knows how many years...

When faced with the choice between McCain and any living breathing Democrat, all but the most ardent Hillary supporters will vote for Obama. Do you really think that Bill and Chelsea and Hillary will be casting votes for McCain? If they will be voting for Obama, why would you think others would not? It just has to come to a peaceful end between them when all is said and done.

The people who don't like Obama think he's inexperienced. Hillary had substance, Obama doesn't.

I wish I could say it's only me, but I travel the internet and I've found quite a few groups of disenchanted Democrats who plan to 1) not vote at all; 2) write in somebody; 3) vote for McCain; 4) vote for somebody else.

Also, if McCain wins, she can run again in 4 years.
