Today, Nikki Haley indicated that she is running. Trump commented that he encouraged her to do so. Why is Desantis a betrayal, but Haley is not?
I guess Trump thinks Desantis can beat him, but Haley can’t.

I would vote for a ticket with Nikki Haley on it.
Don't we think it IS time we had a female president? (not a Kamala, not a Hillary, not a Michelle).

Given the history, Trump has some justification for feeling the way he does about the prospect of DeSantis running, but his publicizing it this way is another big mistake. It will only hurt his comeback chances.

Already badly tarnished by boasting about his greasing Pfizer's path in perpetrating their deadly vaccine fraud upon the American people in record short time....rather than apologetically explaining how/why he was had along with all the rest of us (in those earliest days) and outlining a plan to hold them accountable, the last thing he should be doing is attacking a hugely popular and successful governor like DeSantis.

Trump's political instincts, once more solid than we've seen from any President since JFK, seem to be drifting rudderlessly of late.

I am really glad to finally see that Nikki Haley is going to run. She is one possible candidate that I have been interested in for quite a while. At this point, I would prefer her to DeSantis or Trump or Biden every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

The next thing is to see how her campaign proceeds.

Trump doesn't mind Haley because, the way he sees it... he will make her the VP since she's an ally and she'd probably take it.

I like Nikki Haley. I would give her my vote and not because she's a woman. I don't care what the sex of our potus is. Never have. If her ideas are sound and she understands that we don't have deep pockets, won't cater to lobbyists but rather focus on what's good for ALL Americans (not just a certain group), it's fine by me.

Trump's claim of DeSantis being disloyal is just another one of his childish rants, which he does regularly to anyone who takes the spotlight off him.

As an Independent, I could not stand Trump and voted for Biden in the past election. Very, very disappointed in Biden. Was hoping he would govern more to the center, but he has governed more to the left than many Democratic presidents. I hope DeSantis runs - will gladly vote for him. If Trump is the nominee, I will stay home. If the Republican field remains very small, I believe DeSantis will beat Trump for the Republican nomination.

Trump would love for Haley to run as this would likely take votes from DeSantis.

That would be the very best outcome for the Republican Party.

DeSantos could possibly save the Republican Party.
