Intro - 5/28/08 | The Colbert Report | Comedy Central (http://www.comedycentral.com/colbertreport/videos.jhtml?videoId=168711 - broken link)

Here's an interview with Claire McCaskill on Stephen Colbert. It's lightweight, but a fun way to become a little more familiar with her.

Exactly the point. Obama will not name a woman as VP, unless he's forced to take on Hillbilly, which, mark my words, is still a real possibility (GASP!!)

The trip focused on strategies to control the world's supply of conventional weapons, biological weapons, and weapons of mass destruction as a first defense against terrorist attacks.[71] Following meetings with U.S. military in Kuwait and Iraq in January 2006, he visited Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories. At a meeting with Palestinian students two weeks before Hamas won the legislative election, Obama warned that 'the U.S. will never recognize winning Hamas candidates unless the group renounces its fundamental mission to eliminate Israel.'[72] He left for his third official trip in August 2006, traveling to South Africa, Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Chad. In a speech at the University of Nairobi, he spoke about political corruption and ethnic rivalries.[73] The speech touched off controversy among Kenyan leaders, some formally challenging Obama's remarks as unfair and improper, others defending his positions.[74]"

I realize it's easy to just breezily make announcements such as "Obama has no foreign policy experience," but then the pesky facts get in the way. Tragically, this will always happen. So it's probably best to just absorb and accept facts first, and try to keep snarking from there. JMO.

edit - That said, I agree, he does need someone with heavier experience. He doesnt need "a girl."
Thanks for adding the edit. Yes, he needs someone with heavier experience. (Hey! The guy confused Poland with Germany and obviously knows very little about WWII! Nuff said!) Picking a woman would seem like more pandering since most women don't care if it's a woman -- the point was Hillary was extremely qualified to run for President.

Kathleen Sebelius is my favorite VP Choice for Barack Obama.

No skeletons, no bad image, very popular democratic governor in a state that isnt liberal and if you hear her speak, she doesnt come off as all ego and delusion.

Hillary Clinton may be a strong woman, but she certainly isnt the only one.

Folks you need to look at the Obama campaign and the party heavyweights who are involved. The Clinton wing of the party is beaten. Do you really think they took the risk to challenge the Clinton wing because they want her in the White House? There is a reason why they took the leap of faith in Obama instead of going with the assumed victory of Hillary. Think about. Would they have not felt the Clinton wrath if she had won? Which wing of the party are these ladies in? Were the supporting Clinton or Obama or have they been undecided?
