In the 1960s, (Lieberman) notes further, the party changed “around the war in Vietnam” to “a rival political philosophy (that) saw America as the aggressor, a morally bankrupt, imperialist power” with enemies we had somehow provoked, we had threatened, we had “failed to sit down (with) and accord them the respect they deserved.”

“Far too many Democratic leaders have kowtowed to these opinions rather than challenging them. That, unfortunately, includes Barack Obama, who, contrary to his rhetorical invocations of bipartisan change, has not been willing to stand up to his party’s left wing on a single significant national security or international economic issue in this campaign.

Lieberman is a traitor, definitely to his party and arguably to his country (as he appears to put the interests of Israel first). Who cares what such a man says, except those that already agree with him.

He is an elected official, sir. Someone clearly cares what he says.

Let's also not forget the Democratic Party was behind him when he was running as Al Bore's vp.

I admire and respect Lieberman but strongly disagree with him on this.

If you want to skip the propaganda that envelops those quotes like fat on a circus lady, a direct link to Lieberman's full essay is here: Senator Joe Lieberman: News Release (http://lieberman.senate.gov/newsroom/release.cfm?id=298120 - broken link)

Traitor, you gotta be kidding me. Just because he has guts to stand up and say the truth he is a traitor.

If you want to look a real traitor look up Jack Murtha, now that is a traitor.

And we should stand with Israel first.

When will you loons realize that Joe L. is a man of character and guts that exposed all the wrongdoing of the loon party.

We need more men like him.

So you dont care what the man says tells me you dont care if the truth is told. Guess that is what the new democratic party is all about.

Sorry he exposed the thieving partys ideas and came back from Iraq to stop all the loons lies about the great progress being made in Iraq, something the loons were not wanting to hear.

I'm guessing only one of us can speak unequivocally about morbidly obese carnies who happen to be of the female persuasion. So, I'll take your word for it.

Please feel free to come back when you have something to contribute. Agree or disagree, but at least say something worthwhile!

Casually tossing around the liberal buzzwords of the year - propaganda, racism, fear, etc - are only going to do your side harm. Did you not read "The Boy Who Cried Wolf"?

Do wut? I contributed something pretty valuable, the direct link to Lieberman's article, unencumbered by, um, the propaganda (<--- rather an old word) in the original post's link. And - you calling me fat?
