Florida Democrats scored a big upset win in Florida's largest city, Jacksonville, when Democrat Donna Deegan came out victorious over Republican Dan Davis, in the race for mayor.

She won 52 - 48% over the Republican. She is becoming the first female mayor in Jacksonville's history and is a 5th generation Jacksonville native.

Could this be the start of a sign that Floridians are becoming a bit tired of Governor DeSantis' far right policies? Or is it just a situation where the better candidate won? Remains to be seen.

Hopefully she is at least a moderate or we will soon see cashless bail, felonies being knocked down to misdemeanors, mob violence and theft. Jacksonville will go the way of Philadelphia, NYC, SFO, New Orleans, DC and Baltimore.

And if that weren't enough, a democrat-aligned candidate won the mayorality of Colorado Springs, first time since 1997 CS has not had a republican mayor:

Oh goody. She's a former tv news anchor. Her time in the entertainment industry gave her name recognition.

It was close 52-48 percent.
