I think the whole country will be blue within 10 years. You won't see a red spot left on the map

I’m shocked that our northern neighbors have chosen to re elect this lefty. I thought Kentucky was a red state.

Of course the leftists likely cheated. We really cannot trust elections anymore

Beshear campaigned on abortion in Red Kentucky, and won. Cameron was on record of opposing abortion even in cases of rape and incest.

There are a lot of poor people on Medicaid in Kentucky. The Republican candidate was going to be kicking people off Medicaid. People didn't want to lose their medical coverage.

There are also a lot of people who are still wanting restrictions and such for COVID. They like that this guy shut stuff down. He even had a hotline set up for people to report others for violating the restrictions and then publicly shamed them for violating restrictions.

I can't stand Beshear, but I am too sick to lose the Medicaid. Beshear was the attorney general when they framed me years ago. They are all evil.

The Republican candidate was not well liked even by many Republicans. He supported the no knock warrants that libertarians and black voters never supported (bipartisan dislike on that one). Also he apparently lost a lot of business support due to overstepping boundaries and was sued by over 100 banks in 2022 while attorney general, again lose support from business and those concerned with government overreach.

The guy raised a ton of money and outspent everyone so his loss is a reflection of how unpopular his actions were while attorney general.

Well, Beshear "suddenly found" enough votes to win at the last minute last time, so...

That and his fan girls are ridiculous and people are stupid; not surprised he prevailed.

Pretty much. I don't take this as a sign that Kentuckians are suddenly going to all register for the D party. I take this as a sign that Rs need to clean up their act and find a less-insane candidate.

Kentucky's statewide politics have never been that red to begin with. Their presidential voting history does not reflect the complexity of the state's internal politics at all.
