It will be either Romney or Governor of Florida however he already has that state. Obama will love for him to take the governor of Florida for his running mate though. Ties up much of his resources. McCain is broke and isn't complimented on the ability to raise cash. He has this problem durning the republican convention though. Obama IS RICH, he bloody he can out spend McCain at least twice over. For some reason he hasn't started

South Carolina & Florida are looking to be safe states for McCain. He doesn't need those governors.

He needs a governor/mayor from a swing state or possibly even a light blue state.

SC and Florida however this isn't going to be where the election where Florida is the key factor. This will be hard for McCain with his absence of cash. Obama has the clear advantage. With the drop of republicans running, and the absence of a republican base which brought in a steady cash flow from the wealthier people. McCain 2 biggest problems right now is CASH and his TEMPER, you can see the bush third term statement is getting to him after some of his stupid remarks he recently has made

South Carolina is his and Obama has little chance. He is down by double digits. I have not found any recent poll results from Florida. I am sure some will pop up soon so we can see where that is at. Obama is going to use media in virtually every state and treat them in play and try to force McCain to go broke competing for air time. Expect McCain to do any and everything to get free time. That is one of the big pluses for him with Town Meetings (free air time). In addition if he can get Obama to split the travel cost hey thats all the better.

The GOP's only hope is for Hillary to be named Obama's running mate.

There is nothing like a mendacious megalomaniac to inspire the opposition.

Yes, with all this crap they keep throwing around about Obama, the neocons still are not going to win. Unless McSame does something INTELLIGENT for a change and picks Huckabee for his running mate, the fundies, who pushed Bush over the top last election, will stay home and hence, Obama will win the all over the place, like Virginia and maybe North Carolina, where he's only down TWO PERCENT against the McChurian candidate.

I personally think the neocons know that they don't have a snow balls chance in hell, same as the Democrats knew Mondale could never beat Reagan.
