I say let them raise the minimum wage and bankrupt a lot of smaller companies... I love it when larger companies raise prices, monopolized the market, and start massive unemployment so that minimum wage workers can buy a new plasma TV... I say let Obama ruin the economy and perhaps people will make up from their delusions of a liberal policies... meh... they will probably blame conservatives for raising the minimum wage, increase in product costs, and monopoly... The liberal motto "Never take responsibility, but do take their money."...

Rich people help raise prices for many things by being willing and able to pay exorbitant amounts of money for stuff, but I don't hear many people calling for a maximum wage to keep home prices down or anything like that. People who have their wages raised by the minimum wage hike will still benefit, even if inflation increases, because it won't increase proportionally to the minimum wage increase, since the use of minimum wage laborers is never the sole cost of production in an industry.

Miminum wage was set for the amount of money there was in the time period when it was started. However as time passes on the cost of living increased. However the mimmiun wage did not. Now the democrats have trying to raise this wage however without a veto proof vote in congress and republicans hatting the who economic setup to begin with, veto the mimmuin wage bills for political leverage.

However with a veto proof democrat congress comming up and Obama having a great chance in winning this election, the democrats might be able to fix it finally. However the problem with that is, increase wage will likely will increase unemployment. But this has a hidden positive, with the increased unemployment governors will be more willy to back new business and give more tax breaks to help a company start up which as shown extremely helpful in the past.

Now small bussiness and stores like wallmark will take a hit, however Obama has laid out a method that will lean in the mimmiun wage, however this requires the growth of the dollar which requires to cut back on spending.

And the Min WAGE MATTERS DEEPLY MATTERS!

the Min wage improves standard of living, which goes back into companies. Americas economy is greatly affected by the standard of living its the extreme core of our economy. If the standard is high spending to business is high and creation of small business is increased. (as shown in the past)

How are all of the retarded people and losers going to be able to afford to bag your groceries for you, serve your bacon double cheese burgers, cook for your children in the school cafeteria, take care of your aging parents in the nursing home or wash your SUV's? Just wondering.
They can walk or work two jobs like I did in college. Ride a bike or take a bus.

Some dont get it. Do something to obtain more skills and value and you wont be working for min wage.
Make min wage and it's your own fault. Why should a create owner feed and house you because you are a min wage worker?
You get paid by the value you give someone. No skills or value, that is what min wage is for.

Why don't prices go up because CEOs make 400% more than the average worker?

Were you serious, or did you just ask a numbnut question for the sake of asking?

Prices go up when minimum wage goes up because the items the average consumer buys, are created by items that minimum wage employees are working for.. (such as retail stores, fast food etc)

While the price of items would go up (in theory) due to the income of a CEO going up, McDonalds only has one CEO, and you divide the CEO pay over a billion hamburgers, and you get $.01 a sandwich.. What a CEO makes, in comparison to the "average worker" has nothing at all to do with it.

They deserve 500% more for giving people jobs i'm am forming an bio deasle company. and how these deals start is that I will start off with a 60mil as soon as the plant is made. WE GET ALOT OF MONEY. However we take the biggest risk, its extremely easy to make this deal tank, with prices on corn and other products. Some people destroy their lives trying to do this

for small business its different however they don't have 20 employees and will affect them less.

Sun your argument is well, blank because people have experience its that those jobs arn't available.

And as a republican you seem to forget about the little people who wern't fortune enough to go to collage or well failed ect.
You can't say tuff love to your own citizens that pay taxes for schools, military, and everything else that is government funded.

Someone has to take those jobs as well, imagine not having a garbage man.

Do you also use that argument when illegal immigrants are taking minimum wage jobs from americans?
