Bill did not wrap up the nomination until June, Do you have any polls for June after he wrapped up the nomination?

Bottom line, this is an election year for the democrats. Republicans continue to lose seats in congressional districts. Thats why Hillary fought so hard to be the nominee. Whoever is the democratic nominee will be the next president which will be Obama. The country is facing too much from a bad economy, unemployment, housing crisis, rising fuel costs, rising food costs and the war in Iraq. There is no way a republican is winning this year, especially that old fart John McCain. Even the evangelicals have abandoned the republican party this year because the republicans have turned their backs on them.

McCain will win in Oklahoma by a huge landslide. There is no way Oklahomans will ever get over the type of people that Obama has associated with such as that bomber who thinks he didn't bomb enough. Many Oklahomans don't think Obama looks presidential enough to be president, but McCain does. Also the economy is doing very well in Oklahoma, so there's no feeling that a Republican needs to be blamed for a bad economy. Forbes rated Oklahoma City as the most recession resistant city in America, so why should Oklahoma City go for Obama?

In Oklahoma, Hillary won by a bigger percentage over Obama than in most other Hillary states. You can bet the majority of those voters will vote for McCain.

The Republicans at the federal level will be very strong and solid in Oklahoma. None of the 4 Republican reps or the 1 senator running for reelection have any controversies with Oklahomans over voting liberal on something. So the federal elections will be very boring and predictable in Oklahoma.

I'm seeing a lot of indications that the "youth vote" (which I'd broadly define as anyone under 32 or so) is probably going to show up overwhelmingly for Obama. One of the big rationales seems to be "I'm voting for Obama because I don't want to get drafted."

Meanwhile, considering how many old, retired people are listening daily to Shawn Hannity's "Stop Obama Express" and being influenced by it to vote for McCain, Obama may have to count on a bigger than usual "youth vote" to counter it.

This is a rather ignorant notion perpetuated by Hillary when she was still running. Do you remember who was "still in the race" with Bill in June?

If memory serves me correctly, it was Jerry Brown - a long hot at best.

Bill Clinton, for all practical purposes, secured the nomination in March when Tsongas dropped out, leaving Bill with an insurmountable lead. Jerry Brown held on like Huckabee did this year, but he had no chance.

PolitiFact | He had it wrapped up in March

I'm somewhat familiar with the NE & Tulsa areas and have great respect for the people of OK. Im glad the state economy is doing well, but your other reasons - surely the whole state doesnt think this way. "That bomber" - has been debunked long ago and many times. "Doesnt look presidential" - !!!!???? No one there could POSSIBLY have said such a stupid thing out loud.

most people aren't buying into obama's gimmiks either. oh, and there is no housing crisis. that's a term democrats use in order to justify raising taxes.

He has a chance due to the terrible economy, housing crises, gas prices and Iraq. People want change. But if the youth vote and the black vote are up in these normally red states, Obama could see victory. People arent buying into McCain's gimmicks

How does a poll indicate a "biased media"? Are you saying they only polled people who promised to vote Democratic or something? If John Kerry was leading in "all the polls" in 2004 that means he led in the Fox TV polls, Rush Limbaugh-type radio polls, etc.

I dont get what you mean by "biased media at work again."
