We all know the media is incredibly dishonest. We also know the media is pulling for Obama in large numbers, as the vast majority of media outfits are run by extreme left-wingers.
I find that disgusting. And upsetting.
But this is no different than "homelessness". During the Carter years, homelessness was NEVER reported anywhere in the media. They treated it like it did not exist. Not until Reagan took over in 1980. The media was on this story 24/7. Then Clinton got in and you would have thought homelessness in America ended. But it came back when Bush got in. It is something out of the John Edwards playbook.
This is discussed in detail in one of my favorite books, BIAS, by Bernard Goldberg.
My friends, America MUST go nuclear for powering homes and businesses and we must DRILL until we develop alternative forms of energy to power cars and until it can be cheap enough to be implemented in large scales. The US Dollar is losing value like crazy because we sent Billions a day to foreign dictators and terrorist nations. The ONLY way to fix this for now is to drill. Obama is dead wrong on this issue. As he is on taxes and the economy.
If America overcomes this energy crisis, Americans can continue to enjoy the lifestyles we enjoy. Otherwise, we will become "European", in the sense that we will be cold in the winter, hot in the summer, living in tiny apts, riding a bus, eating Ramen daily and paying over 50% of our income sin income taxes alone.
And that, my friend, sucks. America is a great nation, is NOT deteriorating and will overcome this energy crisis if we can get McCain in and have a drilling-favorable Congress.
Sound off:
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE MEDIA TRIGGERING A "RECESSION" THAT WASN'T THERE AND SAYING AMERICA IS IN "DECLINE" TO HELP OBAMA???
The media did not trigger this 'recession' - the American Economy is in a state of recession and its clearly not the fault of the media. To deny that we are in a recession when congress is considering $700 BILLION DOLLAR bailout plans to make sure our economic system doesn't hit rock bottom in what is being considered the largest government fiscal intervention since the Great Depression is simply wrong. Can you blame this on one person? No, but it certainly isn't JUST the media triggering it.
It's upsetting to see the way the media does sway things to be self suiting. I will not comment on triggering a recession as I am not an economist. My point is merely: why can the media not just report things evenly fairly and without bias? It is sickening despite who you personally choose to vote for in the election.

Hey Fellow Tennessean! It all depends on which msm you are watching.. If you're watching Keith Obermann or Sheryl Maddow or even Chris Matthews you might be displeased or even angered but if you spend a little time watching C-Span or the McNeil Leher report you might actually learn something from their inparital experts. Of course,if you watch Fox, you know which way their barometer is pointing.. The fact is they all have different takes on politics and politicians, which is why I try to watch them all!

So I guess it's official. Bush is now a part of the liberal media
Uhhhhhhh... I just saw President Bush, on TV saying "our entire economy is in danger"
"I'm a strong believer in free enterprise, so my natural instinct is to oppose government intervention,"
"Without immediate action by Congress, America can slip into a major panic."
Is he part of the 'Liberal-Media"?
