do grades mean anything? if we were electing the most educated candidate, ron paul would have won. he's a freaking MD.

well, if we look at the results yes they matter.

maybe this is why McCain & Bush don't like diplomacy?

what are these results of which you speak? thomas jefferson couldn't deliver a speech, yet he wrote our declaration of independence. some think obama's best characteristic is that he can deliver a prepared speech. what does that matter? for the record, I would take a "c" average in the naval academy when mccain was there over an "a" average at harvard when obama was there. although I'd like neither of them.

because our educational system has been on a downhill plunge for quite some time and I think that when mccain was at the naval academy, in 1867, he probably received a better education.

We are not just talking about ability to speak,
We are talking about the ability to think.

I want someone with the desire to excel at whatever they do. We have all been around people who do just enough to get by. I don't hire people like that for my business & I certainly don't want my president to just get by.
We should demand & expect better!
