I'm trying to make a point about mixing politics with religion. It's all well and good when YOUR religious beliefs prevail within politics, but imagine if we weren't allowed to eat pork, or had to wear Burkas, or couldn't get a divorce. Abortion is a religious issue and needs to stay out of our government. Catholics do not believe in abortion but prefer to keep their beliefs out of politics.

No, abortion is a relatively new issue. Before Roe Vs, Wade most people probably never knew it existed. Girls/women HAD their child. It was NEVER on the ballot, the SC made it legal in what 72 or 73?

I'm sorry I don't understand the point you're trying to make. I never said it was an old issue.

When it comes to the ballot box it's not necessarily a religious issue. I'm certain there are atheist that understand simple biology that are against abortion because they realize the fetus is NOT a Tyrannosaurus.

Hey, Everyone

I'm new to this site and would like to hear everyone's opinion. I'm a black woman and my fiance is white we both would love to move to a state that has all 4 season's we were thinking about maine. I know majority of the people are white. I know times has changed but some people are still ****ed up in the head with this whole racism. My big concern is would people in maine except a mix couple or would they be against it?
