You really might want to check that new thread.

If you think McCain is suspect, surely you would think Obama is.

Cars today have air-conditioning. Does that mean that every car ever produced in the US had air-conditioning? No.

He was born in 1961 (not a reason to have a birth certificate), and in Hawaii (not a reason to have a birth certificate), which had been a state only since 1959 (another reason why he might not necessarily have a birth certificate), so why would he have one?

Weedin v Chin Bow US Supreme Court 1927) holds that "at common law the children of our citizen born abroad were always natural born citizen from the standpoint of this government."

Got it straight now?

Wrong! The takeaway from that case is: A child born outside the U.S. cannot claim U.S. citizenship by birth through a U.S. citizen parent who had never lived in the U.S. prior to the child's birth.

You might also want to read THIS:

You also need to read the WHOLE THING here:
http://supreme.justia.com/us/274/657/case.html
(You're quoting an Act of Congress from 1790 that was REPEALED in 1795. The Supreme Court is citing the history of that act in its discussion of the Chin Bow case. Do a search on this page on the word 'natural' and you'll see what I'm referring to.)

The RIGHT WING is WRONG again!

This is still a very legitimate issue. It needs to be thouroughly researched and should be brought to the courts. We are a nation of laws and just because John McCain served his country, doesn't mean that he gets to do anything he wants.
