Whether McCain is considered a "natural-born citizen" under the U.S. Constitution is as yet legally undetermined. He was born in the Canal Zone.

snopes.com: Is John McCain a natural-born citizen of the U.S.?

Also, see this abstract:

US CODE: Title 8,1403. Persons born in the Canal Zone or Republic of Panama on or after February 26, 1904

Quote:
(a) Any person born in the Canal Zone on or after February 26, 1904, and whether before or after the effective date of this chapter, whose father or mother or both at the time of the birth of such person was or is a citizen of the United States, is declared to be a citizen of the United States.
(b) Any person born in the Republic of Panama on or after February 26, 1904, and whether before or after the effective date of this chapter, whose father or mother or both at the time of the birth of such person was or is a citizen of the United States employed by the Government of the United States or by the Panama Railroad Company, or its successor in title, is declared to be a citizen of the United States.
Do the kooks on the left really want to go there?

Can you imagine the left trying to deny a war hero, whose father and grandfather served their country with exemplary records, alleging that being born to US citizens while serving the country disqualifies one to be POTUS?

Please, continue on.

It goes both ways and we can both play dirty. I know the GOP has a lock on playing in the gutter, but we can also fight back dirty. So if you want to continue to smear Obama and claim he is not a citizen or he is a Muslim or unpatriotic, then we will have to enforce our Constitution, which cannot be overridden without a constitutional amendment, and we will continue to ponder whether or not we should elect a president that could get age related dementia (hello! it does happen at that age) or dies of his current health issues or from other natural causes, given he's hit a normal male life span. Not wishing that on him of course and no sarcasm meant.

Don't worry, he and his protectors will find some excuse for Barry getting caught lying to us again.

How dare you libs to deny a military hero his rights.

So are you really saying that all our military heros across the world who have kids on bases in Germany and other countries while protecting your butt are not US citizens?

If you are you should be ashamed of yourself.

My nieces and nephew were born in Germany when their dad was a high ranking military man for 27 years and your saying they are not US citizens?

How stupid is that people.

And who would have ever thought you cared for our troops in Iraq, you all have been lying all along. Libs don't care about them at all.

Look, that law doesn't address NATURAL-BORN CITIZENSHIP, only CITIZENSHIP. The U.S. Constitution states that "natural born citizenship" is required.

Get it straight!
