Where and what is Obama talking about/doing during this Russia-Georgia crisis??

Let's find out:

1. Obama is at the beach, lounging. Look at the big smile.

While an International crisis looms, Obama is drinking beer and playing around in Hawaii. Of course, he left his teleprompter back home, so he is making all sorts of stupid statements about the Russia-Georgia situation. No shortening his vacation and step up and talk about this serious issue. Nah. Bush has shortened his, McCain is focusing on this issue that could trigger a major war or the return of the Cold War with the New Soviet Union returning. But Barack... nah, he is chillin'. Who cares if people are being slaughtered and losing everything thanks to the Soviets attacking their country? Barack doesn't even care about the decent people in Kenya, so he supported and continues to support Odinga, the Islamist Presidential candidate!! Now, when was the last time Barack spoke and really fought to get the USA more involved in Darfur... like.... maybe years ago? Who cares, Obama sure doesn't seem to! On a side note, Cindy McCain was just in Darfur this week, visiting and inspecting the work of the charities she pays for out of her own pocket, to help people worldwide. Hey, do you recall how the wealthy Obama's have donated close to NOTHING to charity until 2007, when BHO decided to run for President??

Anyway.... back to this Internation disaster-waiting-to-happen....

While Obama vacations, McCain is on the trail, talking about this serious issue. Making statements to let the Russians know if McCain is elected, he will get tough real fast.

2. Obama's statements/positions about the crisis:

a) Started with appeasement. Says that invader/aggressor, Russia, is on the same moral level and should "exercise restratint" as the attacked country, Georgia. So Mr. Obama, explain to me.... how can a country who is under attack, tanks are invading, the Russians are pillaging and looting thier country... how should the Georgians "Exercise restraint"??

b) Then he suggested the matter be taken to the UN Security Council, where Russia has an absolute Veto Power, so nothing will happen. Obama must not know that! We have been trying to use the UN's Security Council against Iran for Sanctions and it doesn't work because China and Russia keep Vetoeing the bills in the UN! Can someone tell Obama that??

c) Finally, Obama listen to his more experienced Senator and outright imitate McCain's position! No surprise there.

Finally, a funny fact: Has anyone noticed how Obama's poll numbers have gone UP since Obama has been on vacation and off TV??

I think Obama's best chance to win is to stay off the cameras and not say anything. And when Obama does say something, he needs to have mini-teleprompters set-up or Obama will say something stupid or outrageously racist or anti-American. Otherwise, he is doomed. He better stay in his Hawaiian vacation until the day of the Convention.

This very serious international crisis is proof that Obama is NOT ready for Primetime. This guy is too inexperienced to be President.

Go McCain 2008! We need someone who is READY to lead. If not McCain, please bring Hillary back, but not this incompetent, lazy Obama!! He is NOT ready.

Agreed. It's nothing more than a high school election to this man, he's trying to win on popularity alone, when it comes to the real issues and to prove that he's ready to take them on, he's nowhere to be found.

Yeah, I suppose John McCain's frightening rhetoric of sanctions, hostilities, and possibly war is a great idea. Real smart guy he is.

Excellent post Fun2Day.

I have noticed Obama's comments on the Russia / Georgia situation are pretty much worthless. When these types of international situations come up, Obama's response shows that he has absolutely ZERO foreign policy experience, and even worse no intelligent or original ideas on foreign policy.

please. you neocons thought that Atlanta was getting bombed when this news first broke.

Help me out here-
you knock him for not being "ready to lead", so he goes on a world tour, meeting with foreign leaders, engaging in diplomacy as world leaders do - and you slam him for being "presumptuous". Now he's not being presidential enough.

BTW - the OP's entire argument is moot. Obama has made many, many statements on the issue from Hawaii. And your evidence that he's slacking is a picture of him smiling?
c'mon, you can do better....

or can you? Getting pretty grim at good 'ol camp GOP, huh?

Geez dude, did you forget Condi was also on undisrupted vacation, president Bush was in China smacking booties and smoking cigars with Putin. Obama somewhere in Hawaii and McCain all confused and calling all Americans Georgians. Get over it, the United States is not supposed to be kissing up to Georgia unless that very Georgia has a capital city called Atlanta not Tblisi(sp)

Hahahaha....so when a candidate says that, "the United States strongly condemns Russia's actions in Georgia" that somewhat shows a lot of experience. I guess i'm just stupid then....

John McCain is just laughable at this point. It seems that his sheep are going way too far to demonize Obama. Obama's judgment trumps McCain's experience of inadequacy and failure any day of the week.

Georgians attacked South Ossain and russain came to there deffence. The russains went over board with an counter attack that turned into a invasion. Georgians were the first attackers.

McCain also agreed with obama when questioned

Do you anything on this issue please go read a newspapper or well listen to a entire news story even looking a issue up off the web through multi sources would be good

Mybe the who inexprence after 27 years in the econmey has come up, or even the who "invading a sovern country is somthing that must not be allowed in the 21st centerary" speach was way to hipocritical. Im not sure when people cant critize Obama and must focus some of that attention on McCain well Obama just keeps looking better and better
