Comprehend This --- I will concede that Reverend Wright is not a racist if you will admit that he really, really, really doesn't like white people.
Reverend Wright Quotes:
"Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people. Hillary would never know that. Hillary ain’t never been called a ******. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person." (sermon)
"In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns." (magazine article)
Quit joking with yourself......only McCains history counts not Obamas.
So now the people that don't want BO are bigots....never mind the socialist ideas that destroy everything America was founded to be...
Was this a thread to see how much credibility the original poster could lose?
I was waiting for this. Absolutely no one said such a thing. This is a point where nuance, that very laudable characteristic, comes to play. What was said, is that of the population that is bigotted against young black men, it will be difficult for Obama to make inroads. The same can be said of McCain, of the population is biggoted against old white men there will be similar difficulties. Again, no one here said that if you do not vote for Obama are bigots, but that most bigots will not vote for Obama. You learned this logic in third grade math class, let's start using it.

I guess this means something different to you:

I guess you would know if bigotry was the basis of ones decisions since you would be in every voting booth.
Given the fact that black people are only 13% of the US population and whites are apprx 70%, it is statistically unlikely that there are "just as many racist blacks as whites." I won't even get into the issues of power which must accompany prejudice for there to be actual racism.
Additionally, it is simply ridiculous to believe that 95% of black votes are going to Obama because they don't want to vote for a white person when: (1) Hillary Clinton got 100% of the black vote in Harlem, (2) at the outset of the campaign, most black voters were going to HC, (3) blacks have historically (since the CRM) voted with the Democrats, and (4) Obama is not receiving any more support from blacks than any other white candidate for POTUS.

Voting based on skin color, is racist, as it is letting race be the ulitmate factor in the decision making process.
This election has CLEARLY shown there are just as many racist black people as white people.

Perhaps the nuance escapes you. I said that I hoped bigotry did not win the day, meaning, that bigotry became a basis for decision making. Did you read the rest, or were you just looking for a reason to rant?
Once again, you have shown your basic inability to comprehend/understand basic concepts. The mere mention of the word "white" does not equal racist.
Wright quote #1: Please explain to me what is factually incorrect with is statement? When you look at the power brokers in this country they are primarily white, male and rich. HC is not male, but she is definitely white and rich and is married to one of the most powerful men in America. Additionally, I doubt that anyone would call her the n-word or that her ancestors once slaves, considered chattel and treated as sub-human. This is part of our history, whether you want to acknowledge it or not.
Wright quote #2: The 9/11 comment was a part of a larger sermon where Wright quoted Pastor John Hagge (or some other white evangelical minister). The context is essentially that we, as a nation, don't live in a bubble. Our political/social actions (or inaction) often impact people of color in a way that many perceive as unfair and we should not be surprised when they say enough. Hagge has made similar comments, but I don't see anyone calling him a racist or anti-American.
Whether you agree with Wright's viewpoint is your perogative. But that doesn't make him a racist.

I read it all.....I think seeing a Black man standing proud to even be in the running for president should erase all your fears of bigotry.....the assumption somehow bigotry may come out on top implies if Obama loses bigotry has won...That little bit should easily be seen.
