I believe you have said and if you did I concur, that this election is not going to look anything like it does today October 1.

If liberal cannot accept the fact that Obama has lost his touch and his appeal then you all need to hold hands and have a group hug.
You will find out you all picked the wrong candidate.

We went to our county fair last night and the rep booth was full with people standing outside trying to get in.

We passed the dem tent and counted 4 people and one person sitting at the table.

I understand you all like your candidate, but when all is said and done, he has not only divided our country but he also has divided your party. That is no leader folks. A leader and a real one wouldnt allow that to happen.

The problem is McCain is not going to have anybody that REALLY supports him. He will get the usual Republican vote but nobody is really enthused by him.

Maybe it's because more smart people (like me!) are realizing that both Obama and Mccain are a joke and will vote for a 3rd party

Don't you think those same bon mots might also be applied to someone else currently in charge?

And, take an honest look back at when all this nastiness started! The Clinton era when our country was booming and the opposing party couldn't live with his success --- and then enter a girl named Monica, a tailor made excuse to try to destroy a president and his party. And it's been downhill ever since..

Never in my whole life watching politics do I ever remember such emnity (downright hatred) between the two ruling parties.

Has the internet made all this instant angst possible?

Yes, but it has also spurred us along the path to realizing the Founders mission - "An informed citizenry being necessary"

Without any toss ups, McCain would win. But throw Missouri or Colorado blue and we win. McCain has to hold every state Bush won. Not going to be easy for him to do.

I remember watching a football game where the only score was on a field goal. That score took place in the first three minutes of the game. The team that kicked the field goal after the entire four quarters of the game won by three points.

McCain can afford to "give away" more states than obama.
