"From a strategic perspective, this is not the time for Democrats to play nice. Biden is the perfect candidate to take on this challenge, a man with a wealth of foreign policy expertise and political experience, yet a hardened politician who is willing to be as aggressive with the GOP as they have been with Democrats..."

Senator McCain had the opportunity to select his VP long ago, and upstage and set the pace for the junior Statesman from Illinois. Now that he has selected a veteran outspoken foreign policy expert in Senator Biden, will Senator McCain's camp manage to keep their candidate's flubs, temper and gaffes leashed in what could become an onslaught of criticism from the Democrats.

Biden was the dream pick for the Republicans. He already has tons of historically "foot in mouth" stupidity and I am sure the future holds more. This will be so easy for them now. I am not sure what kind of change he represents but we will see.

What a slight! I'd be honored to run with Senator McCain.... If I were a fan of Senator McCain's, I don't think I'd ever use that line or mention it. It's just kind of, well, whiny....he said he'd run with me first.

"The administration's policy and John McCain's view-- and I love him--are abject failures. We have never been weaker in relative terms than we are today," Biden said of their foreign policies."
