Gas prices have nearly tripled since the beginning of the war. In the last year or so food prices have just about doubled. The dollar, while having rebounded a bit as of late is still nowhere near the level it was 4 years ago. The real estate market is in a slump, the stock market is shaky. McCain plans to follow Bush's economic policies, which have seemed to have gotten us in this mess.

Voting for McCain as a protest vote because Hillary didn't win the primaries is foolish. With McCain I see gas prices at 8 bucks a gallon in 2012 with a gallon of milk not far behind. I see us still in Iraq, and probably in Iran for a few years at that point. I also see the dollar even lower than it is now. Would it be any different with Obama? Who knows, but I think at least we'll probably be out of Iraq, and definitely won't be in Iran. That would be a start.
