Is that the creationist idea that she did not think it appropriate as part of a science curriculum?

I have no clue what went down in Alaska in terms of Palin's creationism model for curriculum. Perhaps someone else knows. I did not wade thru this thread so perhaps it was already said.

I had posted posted a link to her interview with Katie Couric, not the one where she was caught like a dear in the headlights, but where they talked about creation vs evolution in science classes. It was not what I expected to hear from her with all that I had heard from others.

I completely disagree with Palin's stance on this one and in the interview shown above she does swerve the direct question and states that she wants women who are victims of incest and rape to be supported. Well, sure. Everyone logical and compassionate wants that but I would take a wild gander than women who have been raped by their relatives may often want to go ahead with abortion and that should be supported too. Palin's a bit shady on this one, really.

I get that all life should be given a chance, but before speaking on such a pro - life stance Palin perhaps would benefit from spending even more time in the low income areas of Alaska where rape and familial sexual abuse is extremely common and the effects devestating. Aborting is not the answer, but if Palin could tackle the broader issues connected to women in these situations she might actually sound more reasonable. Not all young women are like Bristol, with overwhelming financial and emotional support to help them through young single motherhood.

I am sure you are probably not alone in your stance. But the main issue in this thread was her stance on evolution. That was surprising after how she had been painted. It was quite refreshing.

Yes, sorry for diverging off of main issue. I am curious how Alaskan residents and schools favor her model.
