In case you haven’t noticed, there is another vice presidential candidate, Democrat Sen. Joe Biden.
During a recent town meeting in Florida, Biden said raising and paying higher taxes is “Patriotic.”

It is hard to believe that a politician can guise theft of the taxpayers money as patriotic, and people will eat it up. Less spending, not more taxes Joe!
The war debt is a drop in the bucket compared to the everyday beaurocratic waste. The whole system needs to be overhauled.
The war debt is more than a drop in the bucket!
Bush may not have raised taxes, but the way he spends, he has devalued our income anyway. Raising taxes to pay for spending is at least more honest than running up huge deficits.

What happened to hard work to earn reward? Hard work is what built our country and made it great. Hard work is patriotic.
Raising taxes to give to more social programs is unpatriotic. I really hope this clips gets play on national TV.
Obama and Biden are for nothing more than income redistribution. Take from those who have worked hard and achieved......give to those lazy who created their own need.

As opposed to Republicans who grow rich from wasteful and lucrative government defense contracts and run up huge deficits.

Well, I would much rather see my tax money go to:
-help the elderly on fixed incomes
-help those who have lost jobs and whose unemployment has run out
-help those without any healthcare
-help those who are homeless
-help those who are in bankruptcy because of health care costs
-help the disabled
-help the returning soldiers
To me, is what a civilised society does (some might say - a Christian society), instead of wasting billions on an unnecessary war and giving tax breaks to the wealthiest 2%.

True. Some Republicans do, but I'm a Hillary Democrat.
I grew up middle class and have worked hard to achieve. I make an average middle class six figure income, not millions, yet because I am single, guess what.....I'll have to pay additional taxes under Obama's plan. Additional taxes to go to lazy, welfare moms. Doesn't work for.
I give to many charities and believe in everyone receiving an equal opportunity. Unfortunately, there are too many people in the US ready to milk the welfare system.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats for life. Obama plans to "give fish".
